Hey, guess what the database needs?

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/576437/2 ... .VJd95hTAg

Yes, the Chinese are building more aircraft carriers. That will bring the total number of such vessels in their fleet to four. Not too shabby! I'm guessing, if they start building them now, that they would be ready around the time the next Ford-class carrier is ready, early 2020s, maybe?

Finnish Air Force, please update loadouts for F-18C/D for 2015 as what official FAF video says:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cA6fa7VOAUo

Add:

GBU-32(V)1/B JDAM [Mk83]
AGM-154C JSOW [BROACH]

Note that FAF claims on video 20-30 minute turnover on A2A role for F-18C/D in surge operations. Called "Formula 1 pitstop". [8D]

[font="Courier New"]Canada: New upgrade- CP-140M Aurora[/font]

request to be added to database

Aircraft satellite system retrofit for air force
Each aircraft is being equipped with advanced beyond line-of-sight satellite communications systems.
The systems provide improved intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capability to support Canada’s international military requirements, the company said in a news release.
The technology provides for secure high-speed data streaming from the aircraft via satellite in areas far from familiar ground stations.
The radar MDA (now ATK) has developed for the CP-140 has been given the nomenclature AN/APS-508. The hardware and enhanced maritime surveillance modes are provided by Telephonics Corporation. The imaging resolution of the radar is less than 1m, and the GMTI uses 3-channels of Space Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) for improved target detection, localization, and jamming suppression. The radar is fully integrated with a new Identification Friend or Foe Interrogator (IFFI), the AN/UPX-505.
upgrades will add a Link 16 Datalink, a Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS – satellite) communications system, and a Self-Defence Suite.
The US DSCA announces Canada’s official export request for AN/AAQ-24(V) Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) self-defense suite and associated equipment, in order to equip their CP-140 Aurora fleet. LAIRCM is used to defeat infrared-guided missiles, which are generally shoulder-fired. That’s very useful if an aircraft is doing battlefield surveillance below 15,000 feet, and even maritime patrol over key strategic areas may become risky if portable anti-aircraft missiles continue to proliferate.
T-2465 AN/AAQ-24(V) Guardian Laser Transmitter Assemblies (GLTA), 52 R-2675 AN/AAQ-24(V) Next Generation Missile Approach Warning Sensors (MAWS), and 16 CP-2793 AN/AAQ-24(V) LAIRCM System Processors. The order also includes the usual spare and repair parts,
will add a Link 16 Datalink, a Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS – satellite) communications system, and a Self-Defence Suite to all 14 aircraft that will continue serving in the fleet. That work is expected to be done by 2021. Sources: Government of Canada Backgrounder: “Expanding the CP-140 Modernized Aurora Fleet”.

Gulf War Air War Survey Vol. 2 on page 128-129 mentions A-6 dropping airlaunched decoys/TALD against Baghdad´s IADS.

The A-6 in the DB have no such loadout, does anyone have more specific info about what variant had ITALD capability, in what time period and how many they may have carried?

Seems like 6 A-6E variants uses ADM-141A TALD in the DB: http://wiki.baloogancampaign.com/index. ... on?ID=1865

For example:
#665 - A-6E Intruder -- United States (Navy), 1991-0, SWIP
#2047 - A-6E Intruder -- United States (Marine Corps), 1991-1993, SWIP

both have that loadout #25:

As far as I know, the "#1450 - MU-90 Impact" only is in service in Australia, France, Germany, Italy and Poland.

I thus suggest to replace the "#1450 - MU-90 Impact" in dutch aircraft and ships' stores, mounts and magazines by the "#1647 - Mk46 NEARTIP Mod 5 -- 1984".

Same for all exported Karel doorman frigates (# 1797, 1837 and 2623).

Properties:

- "Refuel from Port x 1 (In)"

- "Degaussed Steel Hull" (read it on the ship's logbook, no pic.)

The 3 following suggestions are best guesses, I've got no sources I could quote at hand:
- "Refuel from Starboard x 1 (In)" (Can be done both sides afaik)
- "Replenish from Port x 1 (In)" (Cargo under 300kg can be passed from ship to ship using)
- "Replenish from Starboard x 1 (In)" (Can be done both sides afaik)

[*]#2623 - F 333 Bartolomeu Diaz [Karel Doorman] -- Portugal (Navy), 2008-0, 2x, Joao Belo replacement[/color]

All exported Karel doorman frigates (# 1797, 1837 and 2623), "#2522 - F 827 Karel Doorman -- Netherlands (Navy), 2012" and probably "#2522 - F 827 Karel Doorman -- Netherlands (Navy), 2012" seems to have a "#2637 - Scout Mk.2" instead of the "#1836 - Scout Mk.1".

F 930 Leopold I

[*]#1837 - F 930 Leopold I [Karel Doorman] -- Belgium (Navy), 2008[/color]

Sensors:
- delete "#1900 - DSBV 62C", it wasn't part of the deal.

[*]#???? - F 930 Leopold I [Karel Doorman] -- Belgium (Navy), 2012[/color]

Please create a new platform based on #1837 (modified as suggested above).

Sensors:
- add "#5140 - Sea Watcher 100 [Seastar] -- 2012"
- add "#5142 - Gatekeeper Dual-Sensor Suite [FLIR/CCD] -- Group"

(it's simply the same update the two remaining dutch Karel Doorman class frigates started to get in 2012.)

I see several frigates and patrol ships not having their docking facilities set in DB (most if not all ships carry an RHIB or two nowadays afaik), does it worth the efforts to research and report them all or that would just be a waste of your and my time?

Wanted to flag a minor loadout issue I noticed while playing "Caribbean Crisis - The Showdown." The loadout for the Netherlands F-16 carrying the RECEELITE pod has an inconsistency between the description and actual loadout. The text in the loadout description list a AN/ALQ-131 pod, but the actual loadout does not include the pod. The issue occurs in both the F-16AM Falcon MLU (2008) and the F-16BM Falcon MLU (2015) in DB3000 Build 416 . If it helps the DB number is #1821 for the 2008 F-16 and #3273 for the 2015 version. BTW, it is a great little scenario.

Thanks,
Merrick

Possible addition to the database: There are two different mods of AH-64D. One is apparently equipped with the Longbow radar, and one does not have it. According to
http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/ah-64.htm
"The AH-64D is being fielded in two configurations. The full-up AH-64D includes all of the improvements listed above. In addition, a version of the AH-64D without the FCR will be fielded. This version will not receive the new Radar Frequency Interferometer (RFI) or the improved engines, but will retain the other Longbow modifications. The AH-64D without FCR is capable of launching the Longbow Hellfire missile. "

Currently, only the Longbow equipped AH-64D is in the database. Recommend the non-Longbow AH-64D also be included.

Ultra-tight JDAM for Israeli Air Force.

They love to drop close to own troops, thus there was order for:

The Boeing Co., doing business as Boeing Defense, Space and Security, St. Louis, Missouri, has been awarded a not-to-exceed firm-fixed-price $82,591,000 modification (02) to delivery order 0001 on previously awarded contract FA8213-15-D-0002 for Joint Direct Attack Munition tail kits. Modification is to purchase 3000 JDAM tail kits that have the ultra-tightly coupled capability for the Israeli Air Force. Work will be performed at St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2016. This contract is 100-percent foreign military sales. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity.

Modest reduction of CEP maybe? I'd suggest 7.5% instead of normal 10%. Just to be on safe side.

#523 - SA-N-8 Gremlin [9M36] and #1109 - SA-N-10 Gimlet [9M313]

Since they are derived from SA-14 Gremlin [9M36] and SA-16 Gimlet [9M313] respectively, should they not be all-aspect capable?

about #2837 - Tu-22M-3M Backfire C

for some reasons in database Tu-22M-3M have PNA-D radar this is wrong
should be 1NV-1 citation from OKB Tupolev annual report 2007:

"3. Follow the the preparation for State trials, refining board of the object 4503 number 9804 for the installation of equipment U-001M serial execution, development of design documentation, finalization of the board object 4503 number 9804 and installing radar 1NV-1 Assigned RKD on ERM letters O1 is 1 control flight. Completion date - 30.06.2008"

object 4503 number 9804 is prototype for Tu-22M-3M upgrade

also in database missed the main reason for this upgrade, ability to use 9-A-2362 aka Kh-32

citation from "The decision of the Court of 13 June 2013 on the case number A40-115120 / 2012" :

" From materials of the case, on the step number 3 "GMKB" Raduga "was up to 25.11.2009. to ensure the production three experimental products 9-A-2362 and preliminary tests (ground and flight).

The product 9-A-2362 with TK 56 is included in the modernized complex object 45.03 of JSC "Tupolev" on a separate TTZ on OCD "Adaptation-45.03M" on the basis of the state contract number 01133 from 19.06.1990g. In this regard, to perform OCD "Sonetka" was necessary to use OCR results "45.03M-Adaptation" regarding use of the product 9 A-2362 with TK 56.

By decision of 24.11.2010g. to clarify the order of completion of the ROC "Adaptation-45.03M" under the state contract number 01133 from 19.06.1990g. Russian Defense Ministry has decided under the ROC "Adaptation-45.03M" of JSC "Tupolev" on stage 3.2.14 "Participation in the flight tests with the product 9-A-2362 (with TK 56). Analysis of test results" with time for completion 25.11.2010g. exclude this stage of the statement execution state contract number 01133 from 19.06.1990g. The order of execution of works for flight tests of an object 45.03 № 9804 with the article 9-A-2362 (with TK 56), it was decided to define by separate decision."

http://sudact.ru/arbitral/doc/4upMhQ9CZ4mg/ in russian

45.03 is Tu-22M-3
45.03M is Tu-22M-3M
9-A-2362 with TK 56 is Kh-32 with TK-56 warhead
object 45.03 № 9804 with article 9-A-2362 is prototype of Tu-22M-3M with Kh-32

photos:
45.03 № 9804 with 9-A-2362

http://russianplanes.net/regs/9804
4503 № 9804 launching 9-A-2362
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtsWTuZQhvQ

Kh-32 is AntiShipMissile based on Kh-22NA with new engine, radar and electronic
main differences between them is cruise altitude(Kh-32 fly at 40km) and speed (Max speed for Kh-32 5400km / h)and range(Kh-32 600km)
http://forums.airforce.ru/attachments/f ... qcgc-.jpg/

so can you please make changes for the Tu-22M-3M:
change PNA-D to 1NV-1
add Kh-32 to database and in loadouts change Kh-22N ASM to Kh-32
