So I go to a birfday party for SG's cousin on Sunday. Nice party at El Adobe in San Juan Capistrano. The restaurant is built around an old adobe building from the early 19th century. Pretty cool place. I realize early 19th century does not impress Europeans but this is Southern California. Around here a hot dog stand from the 1950's gets a brass plaque with a historic landmark designation. Anyway, this was another one of Nixon's favorite restaurants, except he never took Bebe Rebozo there as far as I can tell (not that there is anything wrong with that). All the pictures at El Adobe are of Nixon and Pat (who, surprisingly does not have a drink in her hand in any of the pictures).

Right, so I am wandering around with my Dos Equis in this patio area looking at the flowers and these two 3 year old towhead boys I don't know run up to me, completely amped up on ice cream or their uncle's margarita or something. The first one starts pushing hard on my leg. So I pretend to fight back and the other runs up and punches me in the cajones as hard as he can. Then the two delinquents run away laughing maniacally. So I'm standing there in the patio with my Dos Equis, with a fake smile on my face, trying to pretend I am not hurt. Punked by 3 year olds! Oh, the shame! Later, I got even with the ring-leader.
