May/June 1942, Allied impulse number 9:

The USSR takes a combined action. The CW and the US take land actions. The French pass.

Soviet submarines enter the Baltic Sea. They search for the Axis merchantmen. The Germans react by sending a NAV to escort the convoys. Allies roll 4, Axis 7. No combat occurs.

In the Black Sea, the Soviet Admiral searches for the enemy fleet. Allies roll 4, Axis roll 4. Due to the weather, no combat occurs.

The Soviets rail another INF out of Siberia to the West. Some minor adjustments are made to the Soviet positions. Eisenhower consolidates his position in Morocco. He needs FTR's to be able to accomplish something in the region. Khartoum gets liberated by the CW. In Australia, some units move to the West. Some aircraft are rebased.

The turn ends (30% chance). A partisan appears in Mosul.

May/June 1942, end of turn phases:

The Soviet Black Sea fleet decides to stay at sea. This move forces the German and Turkish fleet to stay at sea too. A US cruisers squadron and the CW fleet in the Red Sea stays at sea too.

Germany produces 49 build points of which 5 are send to Italy. It saves 11 oil and uses 4 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remain for future use. It builds 3 forts, 2 NAV4, 2 FTR2, 2 pilots, ART, 2 MIL, GAR, ARM, 2 INF.

Italy produces 15 build points and receives 5 from Germany. It saves 2 oil and uses 1 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remain for future use. It repairs the Vittorio Veneto, builds a NAV3, 2 FTR2, 3 pilots, CAV and MIL.

Japan produces 21 build points. Due to the losses of the convoys in the South China Sea, 5 factories are idle. It saves 5 oil and uses 5 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remain for future use. 1 cruiser stays disorganised. It finishes the Shoho and starts a CV. Builds are 4 CP, TER, INF, 2 CVP1, 3 pilots

France produces nothing and receives 2 build points from the US. It did save a build point last turn. No oil is saved and 0 oil is used for reorganisation. 4 oil remains for future use. It builds a pilot and again saves a build point.

The US produces 66 build points and sends 2 to France. It saves 5 oil and uses 5 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remain for future use. The US repairs a CW submarine, the CW cruiser Suffolk, the Spanish cruiser Canarias and the cruiser Raleigh. It starts 1 BB, 2 CV and 3 CVL, 2 ATR, 2 FTR2, 2 LND4, 4 pilots, 2 ARM, PARA, MAR, MTN, CAV.

The CW produces 30 build points and sends 1 to the USSR. It saves 5 oil and uses 3 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remains for future use. It finishes the Victorious, a TRS and an AMPH. Builds are 3 CP, 2 NAV3, 2 pilots, HQ INF and a GAR.

The USSR produces 16 build points. It saves no oil and uses 2 oil for reorganisation. .. oil remain for future use. It builds 2 GAR, 2 MIL, 2 INF, FTR2

Notice that the Allies produce 112 build points and the Axis 85 build points...

East Timor was conquered by Japan. Eritrea was conquered by the CW.

Eritrea and East Timor didn't have a national anthem during the war.
Upper Volta was liberated by the CW and returned to France. Anglo-Egyptian Sudan was liberated by the CW. Now, I run into a nasty bug. The Italian BB's in Sudan are not forced to rebased...

I'm going to recreate this, by making the Allies all pass and have the Italians take a naval action in the first impulse. They make only one move in this impulse, subject to interception. After this, for all remaining impulses in J/A I will reduce the die roll for the turn ending by two.

Interception succeeds (die roll 3). The Italians have to fight through in the zero box and roll a 10. The Allies go for a naval air combat:

The Iraqi partisan blows up the oilfields at Kirkuk and a German division destroys the blue factory at Vladivostok.

The US, France and the CW take naval actions. The USSR take a land action.

The convoy escorts are put back into place. Several air and land units from the CW and the US are being transported towards Africa. Montgomery arrives in Port Sudan. The US CV fleet arrives in the Bay of Bengal and searches for the enemy cruiser picket there. However, it's a big bay (Allies 10, Axis 4).

Bomber Command, escorted by Fighter Command attacks Lille. Italian and German FTR's intercept and Fighter Command scrambles more FTR's over the city:

The German and Italian FLAK opens fire, aborting the remaining bomber:

A Soviet MIL is railmoved to Kirov. A MOT division is railmoved out of Siberia back to Kuybishev. The Iraqi partisan moves to the next oilfield: Kirkuk... The Soviets improve their positions. For the moment they are pretty confident that the front will hold, because the Luftwaffe is far behind the Axis frontlines:

Japanese submarines enter the Tasman Sea and search for the merchantmen. Axis roll 7, Allies 5...

Japanese cruisers enter the New Zealand coast to raid the shipping lines. Again, the ocean proves to be a big place (Axis roll 6 and Allies roll 5).

The US admiral (that's me) made a little (?) mistake. I should never have sailed the US CV's and their escorts into a sea area experiencing storm. Fool of a …. Well, it's too late to change that now and Yamamoto orders an awful lot of warships to enter the Bay of Bengal, hoping to get the big guns of the BB's into action. Axis roll 2, Allies roll 6:

In the South China Sea, the Japanese restores the convoy chain, heavily escorted by cruisers. The allied submarines want to kill move merchantmen. Both sides roll a three. The submarines are found by Japanese cruisers, which are escorting CV's:

After torpedoing one cruiser, they suffer too:

Attrition favours the Allies, so they elect to stay. Of course the Japanese don't leave the sea area also. However, it's a big ocean again (Allies roll 5, Axis roll 9).

Germany rails units to Egypt and Morocco/Spain. The Wehrmacht moves slowly to the East in the USSR. Von Leeb gets orders to take Archangel. Positions in Morocco and Egypt are improved. Guderian gets orders to provide supply so that a German INF can get rid of that nasty Iraqi partisan. Combined Italian, Persian and Iraqi forces move slowly towards the Soviet border city of Ashqabad. The Luftwaffe rebases FTR's towards the east in the USSR and planes are rebased towards Egypt. An Italian TRS transport a PARA towards Leningrad.

The Kazan factory is railmoved to Siberia. Some improvements are made on the Soviet positions. If there will be a real Russian winter this time, the Soviets might still survive. It's a good thing the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe are out of position to attack the frontlines:

In Australia, McArthur arrives and the Australian army starts moving towards the east. The main problem for both sides here is that they are lacking sufficient numbers of units to attack. Also: their is very few air units available for this region:
