Have we enough surprise points to avoid combat if only the 1 box is chosen?

I make it Allies 3+1 = 4, Axis 5+2 = 7. Difference is 3 points, so not enough.

You forget the +1 for the Italian naval bomber. Axis is 5+2+1 = 8.

Pick a Trans for the first abort. If it survives, put the second one on it as well. If not, then put it on the other Trans, thanks.

The new search rolls is a 10 for the Allies and a 5 for Axis. No combat.

CW abort the CA to Gibraltar.

Where will Italy abort the TRS?

Oh well, like with the land attack on the ART in China, sometimes a target is just too juicy to ignore - and those TRS were juicy. Let's hope the Littorios have trouble raising steam......
