Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Historiker
Great! Now I found a cockroach in my room. Great hotel!
Torsten, I remember my first night in Alabama in the 1980's - I took a shower and giant 3 inch (I kid you not [8D]) cockroach fell from the curtain into shower... [:D]

That would have been one of the Southern USA's finest, the Palmetto bug. [8D]

It looked like it had wings. But what's the difference anyway? Bug is bug, isn't it?
Cockroaches don't bite, they are just disgusting. So are those fucking fuckbugs!
Whatever you do, don't think about how they're probably crawling over your toothbrush right now. Your German sensibilities might result in your spontaneous combustion. [:D]

I simply put my toothbrush into alcohol before using it. I do that always, so there isn't any problem! I even have a special bavarian toothbrush-creme with 30% alcohol and the tast of beer!

With the diet Lou's been on , the squirrel is taking it's life in it's paws. Lou would chase it down and mug it for a snickers bar right now![:D] A chocoholic going cold turkey for several months is a SCAREY sight! [:D]

Give her our regards. [:)]

If this is a break dance, then this must be a line dance.
Its a team building exercise. You put your trust in the man behind you not to fill your boots or moisten your trousers.

edit.
doesn't really make sense, I have 800 miles to drive that day.
800 miles a tough drive and you probably wont make it in a day. Where is the next stop.

A bug is a bug. See a palmetto bug and that's it, a bug. See a cockroach and you can be sure there are more.
Either way, thank you for telling me why we moved to CA instead of NC or GA. [:D]

Germans have beer-flavored toothpaste? I bet youre not even joking about that.

WU and I saw it last night and thought it was an awesome movie. I'm not a huge Civil War buff, but I think that given Ms. Goodwin's involvement, it is probably extremely true to history. The one thing I'm pretty sure they "hollywoodized" was the drama surrounding the vote. I'm guessing that they knew who was going to vote how before they actually voted that morning.

Umm...dude? Some of the biggest roaches I have ever seen were in an old apartment complex in NoCal. Big suckers, little suckers, lots of the bastards of all shapes and sizes [shudders] in that place.

Yup. He's probably not joking about the alcohol 'pre-rinse' step or the 60 proof toothpaste either. Torsten: do you use some sort of alcohol-based rinse after the brushing too? [:D]
