Well the transfer window was a bit of a damp squib for us. One player out on loan and....

..that was it. So with Defoe leaving before the end of the season, is that really a good idea?
I am doubtful.

Could it at least be good for the economy?

I am stunned by the news that Arsenal loans Kim Källström.

I am hoping (and praying) that you are going to say stunned because he is rubbish....

Yes?

I would never say that he is rubbish.

He is a competent, experienced midfielder. He is a playmaker that has become a decent defensive midfielder. So he is able to make opening passes from a defensive position. But his playmaking skills suffer when he is under pressure. He has a nice free kick. He has been part of the Swedish national team for more than a decade.

I am stunned because I would not have considered him for a top club in one of the best leagues. He is nowhere near the ability of the best midfielders in the world. If it had been a club in the lower regions of the premier league I would not have been surprised. But I suppose that Arsenal is looking for a experienced backup player and he has played a lot against the best players in the world so he is that.

Take a look at these free kicks by Kim Källström.

So a real 6-pointer against Everton at White Hart Lane today. 5th vs 6th.

If we win we go 3-points behind Liverpool, if we lose I suspect that is the end of our Champions League hopes. A draw does neither side any favours.

Here goes.....

...we are sooooo bad its embarrassing.

0-0 at half time but Everton are much the better team and we have yet to have an attempt on target. Pathetic.

Good to see Wigan, the holders, progress to the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup. Would be nice if they can draw Sheffield Wednesday or Charlton Athletic and so we have a minnow guaranteed in the semi-final.

Ok, there's something I want to share, especially with the Premier League fans but anyone should appreciate it [:D]

This is one of the best Hitler's rants (parodies that is) I have ever seen. Almost professional edition, funny script with the RIGHT scenes. Hilarious.

Well, you might not laugh if you're a Sheffield UTD supporter...

AIK's badge was once voted "world's most beautiful club badge". A English shop once made a poll among their customers and AIK won beating a lot of clubs. Among them Arsenal, Tottenham and a bunch of European clubs. Note that this was a local vote so only Englishmen voted.

Yes. The sun does indeed come from Solna. The name Solna is from the name of a island once located in the central parts of Solna that is now part of the mainland. Freely translated the name of the island was "the sunlit island". I cut in the city weapon of Solna below.

Ahah. They're Sampdoria fans in Olimpico, Roma.
Ultrà movement in Italy are dead in last 3-4 years (well, maybe a lot of people still waiting in shadow for better times...).

Oh, this is my team:

We had a lot of team logos because we made four (world record?) economic crack. [:D]

I have no idea if that is a record or not but I suspect that it is. Which logo is the current one?

Please tell me about your club so I can brag about mine. [:D]

LOL

There are more cops (or staff) than supporters (hooligans these guys)?

Now that's decadent (and yes, it's a good thing). Brutal hooliganism died basically in the 80s after that infamous Liverpool vs Juventus final match (70 dead IIRC).

This phenomenon more or less disappeared from Europe. It reappeared later in Eastern Europe (Poland and Russia). But I think now they are more or less quiet (if they weren't they would be on the news [:D]).

The 70s-80s were a nightmare, the Golden Age of hooliganism. What we saw in the 90s, 2000s or even Russia & Poland was a pale imitation.
