Anyone but me see shades of early 1930's in the latest U.S. weapons programs?

Short, 3 day work week for me. I'm flying down to Florida Wednesday evening for my last trip there. I'm bringing my treasure that is there back with me this time in a Uhaul truck! [&o][&o][&o]

They're still OK on the kit. It's the brainless manpower force reduction that gets my goat. In an era of increasing global threats, we're scaling back to the smallest army we've had in 70 years? It doesn't make sense...
