Two games end. JNaspirant axis defeats taffjones allies via surrender in 5/42. A combination of axis battleplan and allied decision elections resulted in allies being at very low readiness. Russia was 8-11% for most of pre Barbarossa. Thus Russia was not prepared for Barbarossa. In fairness to Taffjones he was in later stages of game battling some personal issues which reduced strength of his game.
Second game JNaspirant allies defeats taffjones axis via surrender in 5/44. An over extended axis campaign in N Africa resulted in Barbarossa being under manned and stalling which resulted in effective allied counter attacks in '43. Same comment applies regards taffjones reduced strength of his game.

ELO ended
[WIN] 71 ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs 20 JackMack (Allies) --- Intense game, Axis win. JackMack is solid player, better Allied player than me and many for that logic.
France --- AH cruised, British didn't seem interested. Took Paris April/May, surrender turn after.
North Africa --- Brits and French pounced on Libya ports and attack Tobruk with proper forces. Axis had weakend Western cities in Libya (moved the Army for Garrison). This was a well done campaign by British. North Africa completely surrendered, couldn't be any quicker. Nice job JackMack.
Diplomacy --- Axis went all-out for DEI, thought I might even get it, but didn't. Donated MMPs to nothing. Well, Allies got soaked too.
Barby --- With nothing spent on Africa, Rommel was sent to Army Group South. Captured Kiev, and won a critical counter-counter-attack in close to Winter. Goering sent Luftwaffe to the South also, very powerful. The *key was getting +3 Tanks, earlier than usual. This allowed to dishout damage Tank to Tank, Tank to anything, allowed options. Russians also attacked Finland in numbers. Couldn't allow this. Sent brand new Level 3 tanks + Artillery for this new Army Group. This really helped. Russians were drained MMPs every turn and eventually Lenigrad fell for the North, this opened up alot of Nazi forces to head further East. Eventually, Russia fell in late 1943, early 1944. Reds were agressive in counters, but that helped me, luck some.
China --- JackMack was an artist here, outplayed me with specific Forts + Artillery, never got far. Huge battles raged in China entire game. Japs had to hide in Northern China border to Manchuria with their own Forts and all power units. Japan would lose their incomes in 1943. Lost DEI, and ports bombed or cutoff.
Italy --- Massive battles. Felt more like the Korean War with trading of land. Italy fell to 6+ transport landing attempts, Rome gone. But Axis heroes from Russia came back, turned the tide. Armor could wax lead units of Patton, eventually trapping George in Sicily. Marines were brave in Southern France, but died, so sad. Allies had lots of Air, but not the supply from all the air battles.
JackMack has gotta be a top Allied player. I got lucky winning this.

1. Thunderlizard11 (Axis) vs. John B. (Allies). Thunderlizard11 wins it in 43! Congrats.
2. PeteDalby (Axis) vs. John B. (Allies). Pete wins it in 42. Again, Congrats.
Both players did an excellent job and I clearly don't understand how to play this game.

ELO games have ended. Two of them:
Game #176 [WIN] 71 ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs 101 Pekkavilamoura (Allies) --- Axis were able to keep beginning game momentum upto Barby. Won some Naval battles which took some pressure off Italy. Japan was able to maneuver the IJN to give Yanks some delayed maneuvers. In Russia, went the Central route and some Turkey. Western Allies couldn't pick a landing spot in time, when Stalin surrendered in 1944. Axis sealed up Spain, and had to much power on the mainland.
Game #177 [LOSS] 71 ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs 91 archmache (Allies) --- Given my recent successes, I do what I always do, and try new strategies. Tried the MedFront closure. Sent Paratroops + Luftwaffe to Gibraltar. Sent Rommel to Egypt, sealed the Sea, made it a private swimming pool. Axis went crazy on Subs. Took Turkey also, and of course Iraq. Persia wasn't involved.
Allies never went for MedFront, instead taking out Norway, then Sweden and Finland. U-boats were ignored and didn't appear much put in Naval. Instead, massive land troops for both England and the United States.
Allies didn't bother with Japan either. Japan sat this war out. China was cornered and no threat. India contained for the most part.
Late 1943, English & USA took Denmark, then pick out there landing spots. Split groups attacked Northwest Germany and Normandy. This pinched the Nazis in two. Was just too many units for me to battle against.
I enjoy trying MedFront + Subs strategy, but giving away Norway/Sweden/Finland means there's too much to defend. Once the USA gets ports established, the endless ground units are on mainland Europe. Cannot guard that many ports from France to Poland. Archmache played it smart, not going for the North Africa bait, just ignored it and Japan. Instead, focusing on the x3 attack on Germany.

by Pekkavilamoura
ELO game ended:
taffjones (Axis loss) vs. Pekkavilamoura (Allies win).
After seizing France Germans made a heavy attack on UK with air force and navy causing severe losses. I was already afraid of another Sealion but luckily that didn't happen, just a probing attack with paratroops that could be expelled.
For that Germans didn't get too far in Russia and by summer '42 Russians could even counterattack in southern front causing heavy panzer losses to the Germans. So Axis resigned in July '42.
It's a shame taffjones still has some medical issues affecting his game. It's always enjoyable to play against him, you never know what his next move will be. Hope to have a rematch soon.

ELO game ended:
Firsteds (Axis loss) vs. Moonchild (Allies win).
Very enjoyable and "educational" game for both of us, with excellent rate of turns. Germany surrender early '45 and Japan in December '45, without losing Tokyo or Seoul (just from the morale reduction from combat losses and the A-bombs).
Germany sent 3 armor units to Africa, which is (imho) too much, since the barbarossa attack could have used a little more power. The Italian surrender at early '44 was critical as we both found out about the game mechanism of cities held by Italian units reverting to allied/rs control after the surrender, which crippled Ge supply and operational movements.
Also Firsteds experimented with V-rockets, building 2 units (with upgrades) of them and bombarding London to the ground. In a few words, I (we?) don't think it was worth the investment, even after considering the bombing of allied ports following D-Day.

A-bombs ended Japan and Axis resigned Dec 1946.
Germans successfully captured all France and Mediterranean but Americans came to help to prevent a breakthrough of mid east. Took Perm while allies landed in West France so Germans had to withdraw. Allies stopped at a line North to South through Paris, and Eastern front stalemated before Moscow and a stabalised front south. Meanwhile, a Japanese invasion into Russia was expertly reversed and lead to a steady erosion of Japanese Manchurian territory, including advancing Chinese. Enjoyed some epic sea battles even around Japan late in the game after Japan was mostly kicked out of China but could not stop those A-bombs. Great play by stelel and happy to play him again.

Game #177 [LOSS] #71 ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vsu unranked Azhraden (Allies) --- Started this game at Christmas 2022, needed some holiday action. Axis surrender game time Spring 1943. Lost my way, game turns got slow. I lost, cannot remember the plan. It's actually not bad, but British have turned Greece into a private port of dumping units. Yanks have a port in Southern France to endlessly dump units. So, I cannot win. Would take too long in real time to finish. Loss is a loss.
