Surface Action
CL Nagara and 2 DD get caught by CA Minneapolis, CL Leander, and 5 DD. They have a short encounter during the nigh t and then a longer encounter during the day. Amazingly the little TF does quite well. Nagara and a DD take moderate damage (about 30 SYS) and in return they CRIPPLE three American DDs as well as plink the CL and CA. Order them to get home to Noumea!
Noumea
Launch a 'feeler' attack at Noumea with two Brigades of the 56th ID. The attack is preceded by 12 Betty hitting the troops. Asexpected the attack does poorly scoring a 1-3 result. Japanese Cas 823--Allied 231. The last portion of 56th should be here in 3-4 days as well as the fresh 6th ID from Milne Bay. We shall crush the enemy at that point.
My CVEs are spotted and the 'enemy carriers' cry resounds on the speakers. What will Dan do now? This should be pretty fun to watch!
Sumatra
Bomb Medan, Langsa, Nias, and 45,77.
45,77
The 10th ID launches an attack upon 5 units fleeing the capture of Sibolga. The result is just 1-1. Order a Shock Attack tomorrow. We'll punch those guys AGAIN!
Sibolga
Two full strength Inf Div will begin unloading here tomorrow. Add a large IJN Base Force and we'll see this location continue to grow in importance. Lvl-3 AF is not too far away.
Nias
Three CAs pound Nias and do quite well scoring 390 Allied Cas and 43 Port Hits. The Landing Force hits the place tomorrow. Order about 100 bombers to plaster the troops there. We'll see if these guys got a chance to dig in and also if they have any supplies.
STF
A small force of 3 DD move from Georgetown to Pt Blair and get intercepted by CA Frobisher, CL Sumatra, CLAA Van Heemsberck, and 3 DD. Once again the Japanese do very well placing heavy damage on a pair of DDs and get away with NO DAMAGE.
KB
KB will be fully reformed at Batavia tomorrow. Order some Val and Kate excitement with ASW and sit until we raise anchor on the 22nd.
Burma
Convoys
AMAZINGLY, all three Japanese supply convoys will make it to their destinations without losing ANYONE! A little under 25,000 will unload at Pt Blair while 130,000 will unload at Rangoon. This supply infusion could be HUGE. Should be able to pick-up replacements much more quickly and allow everyone a chance to set for the next phase of this fight.
54,49
The Allied 254th Armored Brigade is BOOTED out of this hex in a massed 20-1 assault. The Japanese lose 42 Cas while the 254th is CRUSHED: 294 Cas, 21 Guns, and 138 Vehicles. As hoped it retreats into the hex due east of there.
Prome
The 2nd TK Div makes it to Prome this day. Here it joins another ID and eagerly awaits the 12th ID to form the Army that will try to drive the enemy out of the hex 254th just retreated into. Cannot make any prediction since we're 10-14 days from this offensive getting rolling.
East of Ramree
Send an Inf Unit (125 AV) and two Artillery Regiments to help the 21st ID.
Port Blair is hit by 18 4EB who fight through 11 Fighters and AA to hit NOTHING! They lose two Liberators.
China
Hex 76,53 is now cleared of Chinese. A 6-1 attack drives out the last unit and inflicts 1,351 Chinese Cas.
SS Ops
I-18 hits AK Silverbeech with 1 TT near Koggala.
Engineering
Christmas Isle IO Lvl-2 AF
Reinforcements
I-176 is completed at Osaka. Change the Captain and send her to Singapore.
