Oh yes, he was an epically prodigious upper lip sweat producer. The fact that he had sweat balls the size of Lake Erie during the televised Nixon-Kennedy debate is often cited as a reason for Kennedy's victory.
Personally, I suspect it was Kennedy's confidence, humor, wit and the fact that his wife was way better looking that did it.
By ra way, I think I was alive but do not remember the Kennedy-Nixon debates.

I watched the replay. As usual, it ticked me off. USS Richmond and her 3 DD's were 40 miles from Horycrappo-jima chasing a sub contact when the WJD DD's were shooting up our LCM's. [:@]
Here is another problem. The DD's will expend their main gun ammo during air attacks so, after a day on station at Horycrappo-jima, they are no good for night defense and have to go back to Altimonan to rearm. The LST at Horycrappo-jima with 650 SeaBees was undiscovered. We just need some undisrupted engineers and 1000 supply and we can get to a level 1 strip. This is proving to be a costly goal.
Lots of red splotches spotted in the East China Sea. Probably, Kirishima is coming back.
We need to get an AD up to Batan Is, which is nearly at its sinking point with troops.

I decided to send USS Barnes, which had just reached Sydney and USS Maryland, which was West of Fiji back to Hawaii to help with the Kurile/Sakhalin attack.
That makes the major naval assets now
Essex
3 x CVE
Maryland for bombardment duties
Indiana
Not very intimidating but I expect Kirishima, Kongo, Soryu and the CVL will be tasked with defending Okinawa.

Pretend I didn't read the manual. Does the game engine "penalize" the forward movement of a SCTF when they encounter and are attacked by an enemy sub? It sure seems to.

I believe the rationale is that they are using up OPs points prosecuting the sub encounter.

I think it's possible that SCTFs or other TFs that dilly-dally around with I-boats 'use up' some of their movemement turns.

I believe the rationale is that they are using up OPs points prosecuting the sub encounter.
And a perfectly reasonable rationale that would be. It makes real world sense. It seems, empirically, to happen in the game but I wasn't sure if it was one my imagined mythologies of AE or was really implemented.

Well, you have a good looking, young, trust fund guy who has been told he was a master of the universe since he was 3....vs.....this sweaty, floppy-necked ex Quaker who wore white socks and wing tips and bermuda shorts when he walked on the beach and who was really, really good friends with Bebe Rebozo, not that there is anything wrong with that.
Kennedy used to have interns brought to him while he was swimming in the WH indoor pool. Not much like Camelot as far as we know. More like Merovich riding around the Frankish villages and picking out the good-looking virgins.
