no more Image tithe.....

That's much more foul blasphemy than your usual wooden garbage. [X(]

Come down off the ledge, Nik! [:D]

not my idea.....cutbacks.

They are cutting out coffee where you work ? Isn't that against the law ? If I were an upper level manager i would come out of my own pocket to at least pay for part of providing coffee. Geez.

[:D] This will incite discontent: I LIKE dark roast coffee! [:D] The darker the roast , the better I like it. So far the darkest I can find is Starbucks French roast, but if anyone knows something darker and stronger , please let me know so that I can try it! [:D]

I like it all ! We buy whole beans , from a variety of sources, and grind our own at home. And at work we splurge a bit and have some pretty decent coffee for everyone. I drink a LOT of coffee, morning , noon and night [:)]

I've always wondered why businesses scrimp on the amount of coffee for employees. I mean it's such a cheap way to keep them happy, productive, alert and active, why wouldn't you do it?

It's like scrimping on lunch room niceties. Then the employees go out to lunch and take a LONG lunch or spend their time commuting to a fast food joint instead of working constructively.

Anything to regularly drive employees away from their work is a bad thing. It takes a manager with a bit of sense to know that they can be penny wise and pound foolish.

While it's true that no burgundy will ever make a good "purple passion", I too like burgundy. (And moon in it's place). Those are "apples and oranges". I called him a wimp to get Mynok going. He's shown too much good sense in ignoring me.

I haven't heard a coffee mentioned thats a "bad" coffee (except for USN.....shudder). But each has it place, it's time and it's followers.

It's like asking which is better , blondes , brunettes or redheads. As James Bond said "as long as the collars and cuffs match"! [:D]
I know, I know. I don't have anything against burgundy either, I'm just trying to agitate the martian. Time for bed....

Night, all.[>:]

My wife is the same way. She's tried many different types and always comes back to Starbucks French Roast. Apparently that is the ultimate cyanide-laced motor oil available. [:'(]

I'm also a fan of the dark, dark roasts, but I like a very wide variety of types. As long as it's not "unleaded." [:D]

i'd really like to know (to taste and to test) what you call coffee, because 20 years ago when i went in california, what you american guys call "strong coffee", or "french coffee" or "Italian roast coffee", was really light comparing to the european taste.
Not to offend, but just curious, in order to compare the different taste of different culture.

Not sure if this helps but my wife is Israeli and she thinks American coffee is terrible.

Hi Jo.
What do you mean by terrible ? It could mean "great" or "awful" ....
