Pacific Standard Time here as well. It's either -7 or -8 GMT and I believe it also depends on the time of year (Daylight savings time).

HiHi
OK folks, just waiting for Russias files, then I'll Merge, and do my turn.
All the Best
Peter
Hey - I'm working on it. Sorry but I keep stopping to ask questions on the forum about economy. I think one last question that I put out there today and I can be done w/ the turn. My turns should go a lot faster after this.
Thx

Yeah, once you get the economy sorted, you most only ever have to "tweak" it, so you'll find you play at lot faster. Plus you have a very big country....

HiHi
OK the shows on the road folks, no probs with merging and the T1 files have been sent out to you all.
Anybody have a problem with a 48 hr return deadline (sooner would be better of course!) eg all your T2 files back to me by 13:00 GMT on Friday ???
Can I suggest that anyone having a valid reason for not being able to return within a 48 hr period, such as 'Death', or ... No, think that about covers it!
Seriously we all have occasions when "real life" gets in the way, Work/Illness/Family etc if you think something may slow you up, just post a quick note here on the MB so we all know there's gonna be a delay.
Thoughts ???
"Good Luck & Good Hunting" to you all, Have fun & keep it clean [:)]
All the Best

I know I'll have an issue this coming week for about four days as the family will be camping (no computer) from Tuesday AM-Saturday AM. If we can time it so I can send a turn Tuesday morning, I'll turn another one around by Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, normally 48 hours is easy for me.
Did anyone notice province development occur that they didn't schedule? I don't remember scheduling as much development as I have going on, but perhaps I am mistaken. Curious if anyone else saw the same. I checked to make sure I didn't have any experts running.
Sweden in.

Haha!
Anyway, sent a quick turn in for this and the other game just in case things go pear-shaped over the next couple of days.

Brits in.
Me and France already had a little naval scuffle. I dunno why Brits start with a very small detachment off Brest like that in this scenario but they made a good show of it.

Hehe yeah, that'll probably be the only naval battle I'll win though... and I still paid through the nose for it. [:D] I'll never learn my lesson at sea I don't think. [;)]

I think the battle you won was frigates fighting each other, because I had my fleets set to combine and then pull out while avoiding combat. About the only thing Im mad about on that one is I lost a ship with a Quality admiral onboard in one of the first 2 big fights. Quality admirals are kinda expensive in naval experience to replace.
Best French Naval Strategy IMO is stay in port. Make the English take big losses digging you out from behind your harbor guns. If England has to keep 2/3 of their fleet on station blockading your ships they have fewer ships to use elsewhere, like against any minors like Denmark you manage to pull into the war on your side or for foreign expeditions. Also the preservation of your "fleet in being" requires that I maintain a larger fleet than I would have to if I destroy it entirely, meaning the land force I can field is smaller.

Ah I think you're right, it may have just been a frigate battle I was thinking of. Good pointers on an overall strategy for the French fleet, I have a bad habit of resisting temptation of being aggressive where I think I might have an advantage. [:D]
