Solitaire: 0%
Hotseat : 15% (Depends bit on if each player takes 1 nation or needs to play a side).
AI : 50 %
NetPlay/PBEM : 35%
It would be best if you detailed NetPlay & PBEM, and if you did not make me guess whether it is 18% NetPlay & 17% PBEM or the reverse or something else.

I dont understand why people would rather play an AI than a human oppoent???
No one likes to learn vs a human and get THEIR ass kicked every time. Also, trying to either connect or maintain a stable connection is almost never as easy as the original developers had intended for it to be.
And don't forget all the solo-scenarios people love to develop in the communities.

Obsolete the perfect answer to your question was given by Jadgtiger in the post above he took the words right out of my mouth [not that I would have thought of them] and I am sure many other players feel the same, I want to play when I want to play and not be obligated to make a move in a timely fashion to satisfy a pbem game player who is thirsting for my next move so he can wipe me out. I believe that the best way to play would be against a human opponent but I dont find that really feasible for me, but I am just one opinion and do not know this game at all except for the forums which have been quite informative for me. We newbies shall all find out shortly about the AI and the game mechanics.

In honor of Yoshino being the 100th respondent, here is an updated summary. Note that the bar chart show the counts, but since there are 100 respondents, it also shows the percentage.[:)]

Using my SC playing trend as a guide, I have to present a scenario of two different playing profiles.
First, the veteran or the player familiar with WiF mechanics. In the beginning, probably a 10% investment in solitaire and/or AI play and for those that do not have the resources for human play then obviously that will be in the range of 90%, perhaps 10% for Hotseat with a friend or family member. The 90 percentile range for PBEM and Netplay will be the norm for most vets as this game begs for human interaction.
Second, the novice, again in the beginning solitaire/AI play will be the greatest time garnish and as they become accustomed to the features and confident in their playing ability they will seek out the human opponents, so assuredly the reciprocal of the above percentages seem likely.
IMO the most important developmental playing feature for MWiF will be the multi-player per side, Netplay or PBEM, where veterans can get together with the rookies and bring them into the realm of WiF human competition as the game is highly complex.

Curiously, The above does not provide a set of percentages for you.[;)]

Just like everything in this current world curriculum, you have to read between the lines, the facts are in there ....somewhere?
Besides, stating a constant for a variable situation is at best, misleading! Things always change...as much as they stay the same and I'm sure a player just becoming familiar with WiF will develop a playstyle accordingly, which I will be. I'll try to play from every perspective, how about that, 5 categories divided into 100% over a time set.
I'll interject 20% per category!
And you thought this was going to be simple![:D]

Well, is "20% per mode of play" your answer ?
