Ok, informal poll from any silent watchers out there....

Should I continue this AAR?

no offense taken if the answer is no, im just not sure if there is anyone out there

I'm reading and enjoying. You seem to know what you are doing so I rarely comment.
Is there something you hope to get back from the forum for your efforts? Advice, encouragement, discussion of game tendencies?
I am sure that writing an AAR raises your credibility as a potential future opponent when you want to get into another PBEM.

I personally read many AARs, but only posting in few.
I think there is many silent watchers there.

I am reading also.  Alfred told me in my AAR.  If you don't get alot of posts your doing ok, if you get alot of posts your probably making mistakes.  If you feel bad look at your hit count instead of your post count.  I am reading this wonderful AAR.

banshee hits a CA at gasmata, we bomb kendari w B-17s

KB hits scattered allied SAG near Ambon, eventually we will lose a CA and CL but overall it was an amazing run, here is the saga: we shot fought multiple surface actions in previous posts and came away with low fuel, low ammo and a little hurt. then we got hit by 100 kates, 4 CAs and Bettys and more or less survived. Boise lives on!
if you told me i would be hit by 100 kates i would expect no survivors

KB sinks wounded cl from ambon raid force and bombs ambon. Looking at KB for multiple turns it almost seems like 2 carriers are missing, not sure if there is a force waiting for me to hit rabaul again. I am predictable in that sense.

KB slips south from Ambon towards Darwin, I fear for Darwin port because lots of VPs of ships there, however i moved a lot of the choice ones out. KB sinks 2xAM on patrol

japs capture balikpapan- i had gotten a lot of oil and fuel out so i dont feel too bad. i hope industry is damaged
clark holds but supply is almost gone

we bomb wuchow ichang,kendari and destroy 4 on ground w B-17s. we may need to suspending bombing in china as he has brought up some fighters, but basically i got to bomb him for 2 months straight without opposition

USA CV TF hits Rabaul and caths BB Hiei who i have seen here before and failed to catch. we send a meagre 16 DBs after her and miss. we then bomb rabaul and do poorly. HEAVY RAIN. CURSE YOU RABAUL YOU ARE MY WHITE WHALE
I opt to push my luck with the CVs and will try to hit Hiei again, given my track record with Rabaul this is probably not wise, i need to learn patience

Right and right - it is a fighter-bomber, carrier capable. It isn't very good in either role, but is useful if trained up for ASW. It can do some damage against undefended shipping though.

so with the Fulmer if I use it anti-shipping should i go 1000 ft as altitude?

BB beat me to the punch here.  I used P39s on low nav and the did great.  I flew them at 100ft.  Nice job knocking down 30 carrier planes.

I like to use 1000 feet for anti-ship bombing. If I have something with small bombs but good guns [e.g. the F4F], I send them at 100 feet. When you get the B25s with cannons, they are deadly in the anti-shipping role. Can't recall what bomb load the Fulmar carries but I am guessing 2X500 lbs? This is good for any ship save battleships, but you will lose a lot to flack. Better to take on convoys with PB escorts [& no LRCAP] with Fulmars.

H81-A3 fighters in burma
these great fighter squadrons with great pilots are very depleted in planes, im not sure what to do with them, they are not getting replacements.
can you advise me on how to restock the AVG squadrons?
