Turn 46:
Success of British army in Italy was mainly enabled by Royal Navy. Powerful naval forces shelled the Italian ground forces. The remains were overrun by the army. Spanish and German air force prepared for some time to attack the Royal Navy and stop its desastrous work on Italien defences. Meanwhile naval forces approached the coastline of France and the first airstrike was released.
The battle report may give you an impression how powerful the British naval forces are. (Purple and violett: Spanish naval air (torpedo bombers and Messerschmitt BF106f fighters), bluegrey: German fighter escorts (mainly Focke Wulff).

Turn 46:
At eastern front again it is the Luftwaffe that is the main force to stop the Sovjet tanks. Sovjets deployed lots of T34 and some tank destroyers. They kept German forces from any advance towards Leningrad and even forces the German division to retreat back into the Baltic area.
Heavy air strikes eliminated masses of Sovjet tanks, but production of Red Army seems to be at high level. However, German PzKW IIIj proves to be strong enough to beat the T34. But as German tanks are lower in number, Luftwaffe has to strike first. Battle outcome often is like the one shown here, giving an impression of numbers of planes and tanks involved.
German air units: Ju47-Stuka divebombers, Messerschmitt Bf106f fighterbombers, Messerschmitt Bf106f fighters.

Here is that shot of the USA armor and Chinese forces cutting off the Japanese position at the aircraft factory.
The Japanese will certainly try to break the circle.

Japan turn47
Japan fights with its back against the wall. The mainland will soon fall.
In China Japan drove a successful counterattack northwards and forced Red Army to retreat. But western front strikes hard to keep the line. Attacks and counterattacks makes frontline between Peking and Port Arthur swing back and forth.

Some interesting statistics. The drop of the curve at turn 33 was caused by war entry of USA.

Unusual looking result looks like surrounded units but clearly since some escaped, they were not surrounded. But 6 of the units completely destroyed. I guess they must have had rock bottom readiness.
Just occurred to me the destroyed units all have a armored element perhaps the only escape route was via a hex inaccessible for motorized vehicles. though in reality the vehicles would have been abandoned.

You have built up an impressive armored force, but I think the American tanks will have their day yet. I guess I had better paint "Fury" on the barrels.

August 18th 1941
Italian Front Genoa fell to the Anglo/French/North African forces, the Iberian peninsular saw the capture of Madrid, the front at Copenhagen remains static nightly raids by the RAF and continual bombardment by the guns of the Norwegian command fail to crack the nut.

The reason I have posted the battle result was that it is an act of propaganda. It should demonstrate that Japan is doomed on its mainland, but is still able to fight and cause heavy losses for its enemies on other battlefields.
For discussion of battle outcome, lets have a ook at some details:
- Readyness indicator for Chinese units is at minimum. There had been a series of air raids against the Chinese units. They were surpressed and hardly able to fight.
- Few US and Chinese armored units were still able to fight, but had been outnumbered. Please note that only one line in the row of attackers is visible, next line is cut off. I dont want to give Chuck more information than necessary.
(Think he is giving too much information to his opponents in his screenshots; hope Tom will not benefit from this in game 14 [:'(]
)
- Japanese armored forces use medium tank III, assault guns II (very good weapon relative to costs) and armored cars III. US tanks are strong but too low in number, while Chinese light tanks II could not cope with the Japanese tanks.
So it is not as much a posting to show an impressive victory in battle, but the attempt to lower morale of my opponent. [:D]
