Sorry to hear there won't be upper floor levels (and I assume sewers to crawl through). I assume there have to be trenches at least for the purposes of concealment and cover. Will there be hills? I hope there is some height advantage capability in the game.

Yes, there will be trenches, base + 4 level of hills. Please see the attached Terrain Effect Chart...

Thanks

hello Peter, will the game have air support ? You mention some anti-air units, but no planes.
The ASL manual must be a really big one. How long is the current manual of your game ?

until those who signed up get a reply, then no, as it's in matrix hands now so everyone just waits and looks at the emails hoping to be one who gets selected in the first of many waves

Peter, are there hexside terrain features such as walls, hedgerow, river/stream etc and/or provision for obstacles - AT trench, barbed wire and so on?
Also no mention of marsh/swamp/bog?

Sorry, not in the initial release...perhaps in the future.

Gribeauval, there is no air support though there is off-board artillery. My current version of the manual is 60 pages long (word document) just pure text. In addition, I have a lot of pictures which will add to the overall page count.

Thanks for the table.

Interesting, think that HT are to nimble but... HTs can enter in wood houses, maybe not all but barns and similars... in future could be interesting expand the terrain types with subtypes.

Is good know info step by step... even when they are giant steps [:D]

Just wondering why Rivers/streams were left out of the game?

river

Maybe I didn't answer this properly. There is no river/stream type of terrain but there is water terrain type in the game, so you can build rivers and bridges.

Confused why a Tank but not an armoured car or Half track can enter a wood building\stone building hex..

Jason,

I would guess it's based off some old AH based game ideas [;)]

I certainly wouldn't like to try that in a wheeled, lightly armoured vehicle (I am assuming that a terrain type takes up entire hex of course)

Chris just seems odd a Tank can but the others can't. I could understand if all types could enter the hex as they could be parked outside said building. However we have just the Tank...now if it was smashing into the building I presume it will become a rubble hex.

I signed for the beta some days ago. Very interested in this game, it looks like a Virtual ASL.

Finger crossed.

well, maybe the point is in add another type of buildings... wood and stone but LIGHT that wheeled and HT can pass, even more, regular buildings not necesary need be destroyed when a vehicle enter in the hex... not all buildings are houses (barns for example) and not all rubble is an obstacle (houses that lose all except walls... like in Kelly´s heroes Tiger scen start).

I dont know if is possible add diferent "destroyed" status for buildings maybe in a intermediate level they offer cover to vehicles but totally destroyed offer 0 cover or very small cover.

Check it out, you've made the big time! If you have Tim Stone's attention then you are definitely on the right track.
