7 is no longer supported my MS unless you are a business and pay for the support. It will cost more as time goes by until a set date when even business installs will no longer be supported. So if any vulnerabilities arise you are at risk. [;)]

A couple more:

101: The Airborne Invasion of Normandy runs in Windows 10:

install normally from the CD
install the ver. 1.4 patch
in the Properties\Compatibility panel for 101.exe, set it for Windows 95
set Run as Administrator
set Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution

Jagged Alliance 2 (ver. 1.12) will not run as is in Windows 10, but you can use the Stracciatella launcher, which will run it fine.

Thank you for the list! What a great way to return to PC gaming, seeing you guys still get it right. I'm 'bout to jump back into Empires in Arms after a long time away from PC Games. I'll check out the forums for advice on other games that match Empires in Arms style.

PHEW! (mostly older games right?). Good

While it could be specific to my Windows 10 laptop, Empire in Arms is not installing 'straight out of the box'. The installer hangs under every compatibility option and with av software turned off. It apparently requires going into safe mode, for which you better remember the original password you registered with Microsoft, which I don't as I normally log on with a pin. I may eventually go through the hoops to install it but for now its a lost purchase.

Edit- Had to create a new email acct and then register it as a new user acct with admin privileges to get into safe mode. Game does install in safe mode, the updates install under normal and the game appears to display and run well. Now I just need to figure how to play.

install as admin and run as admin on a full admin account on windows 10 as shown in my guide, works

done it on every windows 10 build released to date, with no issues, unless mentioned in the guide for a given game on windows 10 home not pro edition

i say not pro, as the pro version of windows 10 isn't and was never meant for gaming, where home is and imo is the best version for gaming that M/S windows has released so far

Well I did not make this up. I checked this list and your guides for all my older Matrix games before installing them on this new Lenovo legion win 10 home laptop. Thank you for all the effort you've put into this btw.. I purchased EiA and Battleground-Napoleon series on the sale. Everything installed fine other than EiA. Instructions from Slitherine support were to install in safe mode. As I said probably my luck it was specific to this laptop, but worth mentioning i thought.

When it launches, click on the hamburger menu in the top left corner. That will give you more options to learn about the upgrade, and it will also scan your computer and let you know if it can run Windows 10 and what is compatible or not.
