The research menu still flickers (reloads?) if you perform some actions within it.

I can't reinforce these three units, none of the cities from Berlin is damaged or anything, they haven't moved and I have MPP's, I can upgrade them but not reinforce them. Is this a bug or is there some other explanation?

Their supply level is too low, the one at strength 8 is at supply 5 so 8 is its maximum reinforceable strength.
Tip: You need a HQ in the area!

But I've managed to supply other units without HQ... Should atleast be able to reinforce the fighter no ?

No, it's not going to be getting enough supply. Riga is only supplying 7 and it's 3 hexes away from the Fighters, so their supply will be 4, which isn't enough.
If you use the Supply key (S) and look at page 108 of the Manual, hopefully it'll all become clearer.

Ah I see! Thanks for the explanation!

Not sure what happened here. Finland is not at war or allied with the Axis.
Not sure when it happened either.

@bbragnar: What happened was the Allies didn't support Finland in the Winter War so when the Soviet Union annexed territory at it's conclusion, they annexed a lot more than they normally would had Finland received support from the Allies. Hanko is one of those areas they get in this case.

What you see is the result of the Russian Decision Event no. 401.
USSR attacked Finland (Winterwar), and won. The following Peace treaty grants the USSR hexes near Leningrad, and, the port of Hanko.
quote:
Both Sweden and the USSR will swing between 3 and 5% towards the Axis on
the 30th November 1939 on the historical date of the attack on Finland. Then,
providing an Anglo-French Expedition hasn't successfully reach Finland, in March
1940 the USSR will gain the Karelian Isthmus, Petsamo in the Rybachi Peninsula, and
the port of Hanko from Finland. When Finland joins the Axis, some of its units will
now be at strength 5 rather than 10, though with one experience point rather than
just half a point. Having fought the Winter War, the USSR will be presented with a
decision offering them the opportunity to improve their preparations for winter
warfare for 50 MPPs.
edit:
take a look on French DE 204 as well (Send an Anglo-French Expedition via Norway to Support Finland)
quote:
The expedition has a 50% chance of reaching Finland in time to provide them
with enough support to withstand the Soviet onslaught. If so, this means that the
USSR will not gain any Soviet territory as a result of the conflict, and the USSR will
move 4-6% towards the Axis.

I'm understand now. It seems off that the Allies would take a town from Finland though.

The Allies during this time were only France & the UK. They can't use this harbor.
Russia only joined the western Allies once the Germans attacked them mid-1941.
Only the common enemy "forced" them together. When Nazi-Germany was beaten, they more or less instantly started to split again (iron curtain, cold war, ...).

Just started beta testing this game and too many threads to go through, but I noticed right from the start of my game about almost half of the Italian units have bases, but no icons showing on the bases. Has anyone reported this yet? I have tried toggling on and off some functions, but nothing seems to change that. [&:]

Hello Snowstorm
The 3D models for the Italians are still being worked on hence the 'blank discs'
Whilst waiting can I suggest you switch to using 'NATO style' counters (sPzAbt653 has also made some 3D models)
regards
Ben Wilkins

hi
Have noticed that sometimes when I go to intercept an allied ship or sub they disappear!?
Is this 'fog of war'
i.e. showing last known position, or a bug?
