Are you keeping MOT in North Sea ready if Germany attacks Netherlands?

If CW uses TRS in France to land MECH to France, TRS in North Sea can return to Frech port at the end of turn if Germany does not attack Netherlands this turn.

USSR and France instructions for the impulse:

Both takes combined.

USSR TRS to Black Sea, load GAR from Odessa.

French TRS to CSV box 0, load INF from Morocco.

Strategic bombing: French bomber hits Nuremberg and returns to same hex.

Rail move: USSR rails INF from Krasnoyarsk to west (Penza).

Land moves:
France
French AA gun from Metz one hex to west (same hex with HQ Billotte).
Lyons MIL from woods to same hex with HQ Billotte and AA gun.
CAV div to Metz.

USSR
(China) Sian MIL to east (two hexes if possible).
(China) 1st INF one hex SW and then SE to mountains (to hex 74,140 NE of HQ).
CAV in Rumanian front to hex 56,51 (west of Cernauti).
4th Siberian INF to Vladivostok.

What do the French think about doing a joint DoW on Italy so CW can port-strike the Italian TRANS at La Spezia and the French either strat bomb Milan or ground strike the units on the coast? CW can also invade Sardinia with INF Div. We'll lose a US chit (20% chance of 2). Or should we wait for the Italians in order to collect US chits?

How many air to sea factors can port attack? Try estimating the possible result you can get and make a decision accordingly. If you get at least two shots at the Italian TRS (of which one D) than you should do so. And remember to save 3 surprise points so you can elect to attack those TRS three times at a row...

Nothing better than Italy without TRS capability. And the loss to the Italian war economy is good too...

But after that: I would not upset US citizens anymore...

There are only 6 factors in the strike. Base AA I think is lowest 1 of 3. I think it would need a least 8 surprise points (and reasonable luck with the AA fire) to get into the 3 X's range. If AA fire doesn't go so well, it might be something like X, 2A (1 bombing factor left and 6 surprise points to increase damage).

France and the CW don't cooperate, so they can't attack the same hex...

Now I realized how we lose this war. USSR DoW on Germany and next impulse they DoW on Rumania. Soon Germany does not have oil. Even if they can't conquer Rumania right away, they have 19 factors for strategic bombing on Rumanian border.

Yes, both would DoW and certainly go for CP in Italian Coast.

Alternative is not DoW and I would pull CV's back to Gib so they don't get caught on an Italian DoW.

With 3 bombers Italian AA fire is lowest of 3. Are you using any points to lower that or hope for the best and then increase damage?

I would say "hope for the best", or maybe 2 points to make it lowest of 4 [;)]

Something like that. Depends on the amount of surprise points and whether increases to damage merely add to aborts or X,D's. If only A's then may as well decease AA.

Do the French still want to bomb Nuremberg or have a go at Milan? Both attacks are with 2 factors. A good result (9 or 10) would do 1 BP more damage at Milan.

Check out Italian production planning. Do they lose BP if we cause 1 PP loss (is their production X,5 now). If so, attack Milan.

A 1 point start bomb loss would cause Italy to lose 1 BP (a 2-point loss needs us to sink the CP or occupy Sardinia to cause another BP loss; they would be down to 1 BP if that happened). A 1 point loss for Germany has no impact. They would go down to 22 * .75 = 16.5 less 2 BP trade = 14.5 (15), which they are currently at.

Wondering whether to send the Blenheims to bomb Hamburg or ground-strike the Mot on the Danish border (2 factors due to rain). Either way it will need to negotiate a -1/+1 air combat vs the Bf-110C. That would make the '110 unavailable for bombing. For the strat bomb to have any impact, the French would need to have successfully bombed Nuremberg.

Other option for French might be to forget strat bombing and ground-strike La Spezia with LND and CVP. A disorganised ARM HQ would be a useful prize, forcing them to spend their oil (about 60% chance of success with 2, 2, 1, 1). The INF div disorganised would be useful too.

I like the idea of hitting the MOT on the Danish border.

And yes on the French hitting La Spezia!!!
