Text files for the scenarios...
Are we going to have someone translate them into Russian so that we have the campaign available for our fellow Russian players?
Secondly, on the matter of proofreading. I have gone over a few of the texts for a mini-campaign that Brad gave me. Granted, maybe these are still in rough format. But we should have a stickler for proofreading and proper English go over these. Just wanted to throw that out there for quality support.

Skukko - we've talked via email - you get Kurgan battle 2: the 13th Guards have had all night to dig in the the east slope of Kurgan - can they hold against renewed German attacks?
GenRichmond - improvements always welcome - if someone has the time to proofread, have at it. Good way to get spouses involved? Send me your edits and I'll update the text.
GenRichmond - Russian? Hey, if someone can, it would be great - I'd settle for someone writing down some commonly used Russian map texts, jargon, Unit names, etc...would love to add more flavor but the only Russian I know is Roulette...

Well, if we have some russian friends then I have one idea...
Why not ask them to go over the submitted texts and rephrase them in a manner that matches the semantics of the russian language, and the kind of wording, manner of speaking and perhaps euphemisms that was likely to be found in russian battle orders?

Nice plan, Penetrator!
I got a russian girlfriend -she might be able to help in turning the english into "russian", but nevermind her writing stavka style: she's not too much into mil.hist. ....

Excellent idea. I say that because I am having a Brit reword my text files for an all-British campaign I am working on. It really does add something to have cultural colloquialisms (is that redundant?) and era-specific phrasing in the text files. I can smell right off when it is one of my fellow European culture-deficient Americans who has written a text file!

[No flaming - just a prod in the rear!] Even still, for American campaigns, we as Americans in the 2000's don't speak in quite the same fashion as was done in the 1940's. This is something even my British translator understands. He asked if I wanted current British phrasing or that of the 1940's.
I know - it's just more effort. But it does add a nice touch.
I don't even know if it's possible to get the game to recognize the cyrillic alphabet.

Wellwell... A bump from page 11 (45 posts per page). Tssstssss, this is sad.
Well messrs, this project getting rusty on us. I suggest we publish part one of our effort covering june 1941 - end of stalingrad operation. It is a natural break in the story, and also the new version is coming out. I think the future of the project will be decided by the reception this gets. If we don't publish now we might as well realise the project is dead. Can we set early february as a deadline? (surrender of stalingrad).

Even though I'm not a fan of larger battles, this sounds too good to pass up. Please release it.

Just to let everyone know I am temporarily taking over as coordinator due to casualties at high
level. I intend to try pushing this project forward with the aim of publishing part one, june41-feb43 in the near future.
To anyone who has been involved in this project: If you have been assigned scenarios that are still incomplete, please keep working on them or pass them up. I have heard from several of you, and the project is definitely moving forward. To everyone: Several battles of the period are unassigned, namely 25 and 27 through 34, perhaps more. Further help would be most welcome.

With the current leagues about to end, I wouldn't mind trying me hand at a scenario.
Not much experience building a scenario, although I have many years experience playing and have tweaked lots of PBEM set-ups.
You are welcome to assign a scenario to me...please forward the brief...it is best to email this to me, as I don't follow threads all that carefully.

Testers are needed. I am going to try for a monumental scenario designing effort, and for that sake will try to avoid testing as much as possible. Scenario 29 is now ready for testing, with more to follow soon, hopefully.
Any volunteers, please?

I'm emailing you battle 1. I have little time to help, but would like to be kept in the loop.

Scenario 19 Gumrak Station finished (basically ready for testing)
Scenario 31 Tatstinskaya Airfield...under design...this is a relatively simple one, so I don't expect a delay...which for me means the end of the month.
