US sends 4 CA to West Coast 4-box. TF of 2 x Trans loaded with Ftr's and 2 x Amph, loaded with Inf, 2 BB and several CL sails to Nth Atlantic 0-box. 4 CV's transfer from East to San Diego. 2CV and 8 BB's leave Pearl for Christmas Is 2-box.

West coast: CA initiates. No air support. Searches Allied 2, Axis 1. Both successful. Damage is D, 2A to Japs and 2A to US. Jap CA is damaged and aborted. In return 2 US CA's abort.

Is Kwajalein OK for the Jap CA? US go back to San Diego.
