1. No, the AIs and private industry will not build mines unless there is a need and presumably a high trade value.
Oh, really?
This looks quite like what I suspected would happen, doesn't it?:

The AI has 3 zones, access to 2 big and 2 1-hex lakes, has (marginal) rainfall and half of it's area is covered in snow. Traders do not buy water, yet it builds ice mines ... .

    .
  • The BIOSPHERE tab says "Currently the planet has proto-cellular microbiological activity". Yet at least one of the minor nations are some (very pissed off) arachnoids!
Are those supposed to be there? Living happily with an 96%N2, 3%O2 atmosphere a -30°C?
...
3. Arachnids seem to be generated pretty much anywhere.Good luck explaining how they survive, but they make sense as some extra minor variety on planets without other wildlife.
Arachnids are clearly not local life:
5.4.2.7. ARACHNIDS
A non-human Minor. These spider-like creatures are on the verge of consciousness and are found on many Planets. They have very tough carapaces and slow metabolism and they survived almost everywhere they were present when the Dissolution War happened. ...
I don't care why they where on the planet when the Dissolution War happened.
Games says "Keep in mind that over 262 years have passed since the Dissolution War started" ... how the **** did those arachnids survive for so long on a planet that is A) too cold for them to walk around outside, B) has no indigenous life for them to eat (and use their burrows, I suppose) and has lost 99% of its human population, yet there are enough of them to occupy a complete zone, where no humans are? And don't tell me they pray on humans from neighbouring zones ... how large was a hex supposed to be, actually?

This does not make sense.
Pretty much like the fact that the actual planet "biomes" (or lack thereof) have little to no influence on the way the tech tree is structured.
Drilling for oil and running combustion engines on the moon, sure why not?
And absolutely no technology for the creation of an artificial atmosphere ... .

People are not even sure how they got to the planet.
They have less idea how they survived. They were too busy surviving themselves.

They are just there.

I would understand if you were asking for a toggle to turn them off. But you seem to be just complaining.

Fuel is specifically abstract, so we don't have to ask questions what they are burning on the moon or how they get. Probably something they can get out of the ground and is delivered with oxydizer.
I would like having purely Energy based logistics and starting engines, but can understand that it is too much work to implement.

An artificial atmosphere is just part of "being alive" on any planet with less then perfect atmosphere. It is part of the Environmental suits and the dome farms. Of every single dwelling in every single normad settlement.
You are acting like this hasn't been added like 10 betas ago:
Population, Workers & Free Folk can now suffer casualties due to structural damage in their hex. It is max 5% if full structural damage. (but this can be much higher with higher Hazard Levels. “Don’t fire a gun when there is vacuum outside”)

It would be really nice if the private sector AI built hydroponics facilities to replace the old private agri-dome assets. Do the IRL thing of moving workers out of the agricultural sector with increased mechanization, thus allowing for the boom of secondary and tertiary industries. I, playing as the government, already do that - I mothball my old Agri-Dome assets and fire the workers when my Hydroponics assets are good enough to pick up the slack. Let the civilian sector get with the times get with the times and switch over to newer, better methods of food production instead of being trapped in the Mad Max tech 3 phase.

Also: civilian soil demetalization/biofuel refineries/water extraction facilities would be excellent. Also to be unlocked by government research, of course.

Late game AI, Extreme difficulty seems predisposed to create lots of Atomic Launchers of questionable utility. With range of only 2, it never uses them effectively.

Because they are so good.

Missile Defense tech is the appropriate response, imo.

Take your time, guv. These big planets need a long time to play anyways.

Another example in this post:https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 8&t=401976
I already have a railhead on the other end. It's just a supply base between two rail facilities but it stopped my train. Once I construct a railhead in the supply base's hex, my train will flow smoothly.

Subversion H posted. 25 new Fate Stratagems added.
Testing first on Matrix only before updating the Steam Open Beta.

Please do let me know if things run smoothly. Or not..

Best wishes,
Vic

What good are more types of fate stratagems when you never get that many to begin with since they were over nerfed? I don't want to play on beginner. And what good are (negative) epocs without fate strategems?

We need a "mission impossible" esque card that produces fate strategems instead of fate points.

Windows defender is deleting shadowempire.exe as it contains a virus. Anyone else getting this? (has only happened with patch 'h')
Temporarily switched off defender.

I agree. The nerf might have been a little bit too much. I am looking into this

What does GR tech do? I checked model's tech tab but there is no bonus and GR tech is grey.

I think something broke in version 1.25h. The AI majors can't even defend themselves against Nomad. When they declare war on me, their frontline troops even starve!

Looks like they are following the Art of War "Attack where your enemy is weak".
Can't be weaker then having 0 forces!
