Morning tithe... Beautiful sweet steady rain all night, which is great. As the garden and lawn were getting very dry, with all this hot weather we've been having. [:D]

Hi there Leo... I'm actually going out this new year's eve, the family are taking me and my wheelchair up to our local club. I'm really looking forward to it, first time out in 3 years, and I will see lots of friends I haven't seen for a while. [;)]

The best present I got this year was NOT going to see any of my inlaws.

Please note that in Europe (especially Mediterranean Europe: Spain, Italy, Croatia, Greece etc.) it is quite common for families to stay together for good (i.e. several generations under one roof)!

In my country this is also the case - we usually own the places we live in (i.e. there are very very few that rent apartments - that is very expensive and not worth it in the long run) so families tend to stay together. About 10 years ago there was a trend that new young families try to go away from parents and buy new apartments with cheap credits / mortgages but this turned out to be very very bad decision because of market crash and crisis after 2007... lots and lots of brand new unsold apartments and houses that are empty and inhabited...
