Sorry to hear you have Gout Nik. I've pretty much had to give up all alcohol plus take a pill everyday. When I feel that achy tingle start in my toe I drink about six ounces 100% Black Cherry Juice. The juice might just work because I think it does. Still, I and many other Gout sufferers swear by it. Best of luck.

They have me on Indeomethacin for the inflammation. My Uric Acid levels are just over the high-normal. I'm hoping that with a minor diet change i can avoid a future incident. It does not run in my family so i'm guessing that means at least i don't have a pre-disposition to it. I"m hoping to be one of those one time sufferers.

Hi all,

Morning guys.

I wish you a very fine morning, including the sun+so on![:D]

My knee hurt somewhat, maybe the turn-around after Kiri Kaeschi yesterday is the reason.

One of the five secretaries in my department is currently on maternity leave and set to "go" in two weeks. Today, she came by to visit; can we guess how quickly I found an excuse to be somewhere away from the office, once those five women got together?[X(]

Make no mistake, I like babies. But five women chattering on and on and on and on and on and on about pregnancy and childbirth? No.

Nik,
Your recent stress makes you more vulnerable to all sorts of inflammatory issues so this may not be a long term problem for you. Make sure you stay well hydrated.

It would be me or the kid at that point. I would not last long as a teacher at any level in a public school, as I would not put up with crap from the brats or their loser parents.

T, why don't you just try to hug one of them, then you won't ever have to worry about being in the middle of a chattering session?

Febuary was definately the mother of all months for stress. The more i hobble away from it the better i'm sure i'll feel. :)

BEER!

I think too i helped cause the issue because lately i'd been drinking beer....then going and working out hard and getting dehydrated in the process. Basically i was asking for THE GOUT and i got it.

See, that's not as funny as you seem to think it is, so now I'll have to punish you.

This makes me angry. [:@]
Just par for the course, Dude. Golly, just watch anything on TV and you're inundated with "Have you been annoyed? Then call our attorneys and get Money!".

As a society, we're not only in the pooper, but somebody already pulled the flush cord. So don't get mad, it only raises your blood pressure to no purpose. There's nothing you can do no matter how you feel about it. It's a simple matter of mathematics. The social inertia of 290 million cretins, following the latest judas goat demagogue (who just promises crap to get the power so he/she can get that Beemer and a house on the beach) vs, what? few million thoughtful folks? Hah!

Sanity ain't gonna happen in a Democracy Mouse. The Greeks knew that 3000 years ago. Critias the Elder (or maybe the Younger, I forget) described what is happening now, book, chapter and verse. There is absolutely nothing that can be done except to bunker down and let nature take it's course.
