Yep......he was in very good spirits.....then again he should be after Boeing won that Tanker contract. Gonna add lots of jobs at Boeing.

Wonder if he can get me one....
What-very good spirits? Can't you get some Irish Whiskey or Bourbon locally in Londinium?

Not a religious expert but I don't think you get any credit unless you actually kill infidels.

That would be hard on Bruce. From Florida to Seattle area.[X(] I know, I did it.[:(][:D]
He actually doesn't seem to mind.....after all as he pointed out...we are both Yankees....(aka "northerners [:D]) though he did say that on the issue of retirement....florida will beat out Seattle. Too cold and wet here. I'm not sold on Florida myself....my dad tried it out when he retired but he found it too hot and muggy.....so went back to Buffalo NY.

I'm not looking super forward to going to Houston and prefer Boston.....but i may have a job waiting for me in the former. Fingers crossed.
Grew up in the South. Went to school and worked in the North. Think I know both places pretty well. Lived and worked for thirty years in the West.

It's where you have to go in order to do what you need to do. A noun is simply the name of a thing. North, South, East, West only have relevance in context. Understand your context, and your objective, and your most efficient location will identify itself.

Efficiency does not equate with ideality, however. That's a soft analysis.

Context ! Ciao. John

Guys, I'm a Yankee. Got the t-shirt, birth certificate and the 00 social security number to prove it. [:D]
But I've also gone from many years in warm, temperate climates to cold , wet ones. [:(]
And the biggest problem for a Floridian in moving to "Rain city" is going from year round brightness to a place where people stare and wonder "what the heck is that big , bright thing in the sky?". [:D]

Even with all the time I spent in the Arctic circle, it still took ,a lot of getting used to. The Seattle area is an exciting, enjoyable area. I had a great couple of years there, and wouldn't mind going back for a while. But compared to the Canaveral area it is wet, dark and gloomy through a good deal of the year. It will take some time to get used to. [:)]

Having grown up in California much of my life (North and South), I had a similar experience in the North.

Our fall-winters were similar to those of Oregon and Washington, albeit with less regular precipitation. But they did produce the cold, dark, overcast gloom. No freezing rain, but lots of drizzle or rain at 33F. It gets depressing after a bit. Compared to clear skies and a cooler temperature, I'd generally take the lower temperature.

Clearly not enough.

The constant wars with the Hogwarts alumni must be taking their toll.

Steve,
How was your first Nebraska winter? Sometimes there's not much snow, but I will never forget the icy winds that freeze the snot right inside your nose. I never really experienced normal spring and fall until moving to Virginia.
