Very cool song. I actually own an old vinyl LP of the recording. It's hard to believe that Russians had to endure all that, and then, immediately, have Stalin's boot thrust down, once more, on their pitiful, undeserving necks. Shame isn't it, that more of music isn't devoted to enlightening the great unwashed as to excesses of government?

Prince of Eckmuhl I do not take your question as a "slap", rather I find it a little strange. How can you deduce from this thread the amount of focus an individual places on music, and whether that focus is instead of military history?

Well, I certainly can't quantify anyone's interest, one way or the other. But, I'd note that the topic in question "turned four" on September 8. And it's something on the order of fifty pages long. Clearly, some of our members have found the subject matter compelling enough to make many, many posts to the thread. Conversely, I don't see any fifty page threads devoted to military history. No big deal, really. I just find it, well, kind of ironic.

Because it's *the* music thread. If we'd sum up all the history threads during a four year period we'd probably get as much or more. Also, in this thread, people don't actually discuss music but post what they are listening now. If we'd get to deeper talk about music, I suspect that most of us wouldn't have much to say.

I am listening to Eva Dahlgren - Angel In My Room - for the first time. The Swedish version is an old favorite of mine but the english version is nice as well.
