I did another one of those night naval bombardment things and got some results. It looks like Jim is trying a resupply run of his own to
Port Moresby. I'm going to have to see if I can't throw a wrench in his precision clockwork timing. I've got my hammer nearby and there
is even an AO there to fuel everybody up. I think I'll ditch the naval bombardment operation and chase his ships with mine. He's got the
jump on me and might make it to Port Moresby before I can get there. D'oh.

So um.....then there was an air strike on Port Moresby. I'm going to switch to Naval mission to see if I can't get one of those Allied ships.

Then came an airstrike on Manila and I must say, I've been getting pretty decent results here lately from my bombers. I'm guessing that
they are increasing in experience or something. I'm toying w/ the idea of doing a deliberate assault tomorrow. See what happens more
or less.

And then there was an air strike on the Allied Division at Cagayan

Air strikes in Java are going on as usual. No letup. Keep it coming. Those Allied units there will break sooner or later.

And there's a strike on that Allied unit / pest near Gasmata. I'm still in the softening-up phase w/ them.

Then there was an Allied B-17 raid on my guys at Port Moresby. Those B-17's got off lightly if you ask me. I'm not surprised though
The B-17 has a reputation for not getting shot down. And they shoot back. D'oh.

And there were at least two air attacks on Darwin. This one is typical.

And then an Allied sub got one of my picket ships. I'll have to replace him with another PB w/ more DC's or something.

Not making much headway on the north end of Java. I think maybe more air strikes are in order here. Some air-to-ground pounding
to soften up the Allied infestation.

And then there was a ground bombardment of Manila by the Japs. I'm planning on doing a DA tomorrow and so I've included the display
showing the mission of all the ground units I have at Manila. Cross your fingers.

I think maybe being out of supply is a very bad thing. I think that's why the results of the Allied ground bombardment(s) at Port Moresby
are so effective. I'm thinking of pulling my guys out of there rather than let them get killed this way. What do you guys think?

And of course, here's the combat report:

I just found an Ida unit that has about a dozen planes and almost all of them are down for maint. because there's no AF support in the
base. D'oh. I just happened to have some AF dudes at Tokyo that would love to volunteer to go to Sapporo to support those planes.
And as a matter of fact I may as well start doing some people moving and get some more units out in the "field" if I can. Depends on how
many PP's I have left.

There's something strange going on at Manila. I just now noticed this. Jim has divided his troops at Manila into half's roughly, and has
moved one group to the east of Manila and the other group has a movement button on it's icon so it's in move mode too. What would
make him abandon Manila? And where's he think he's going to go?

Here's the situation in Borneo. I think it's Borneo. Anyway, Miri has three separate units of Engineers repairing the Oil centers like a
bunch of buzy beavers. I've turned off the repair of the Refineries at Miri until after the Oil centers are done. Balikpapan doesn't have
any damage to it's Oil Centers or Refineries and so there's nobody there to repair anything to speak of. And I'm getting a bunch of fuel
out of Balik so there's no need really, to turn on the refineries at Miri yet. I guess I could turn them on just because I can. And then when
the fuel starts to pile up to the max again I'll turn 'em back off.

Here's the Lunga situation: The port expansion is coming right along. I've only been occupying Lunga for a couple of days and it's
already 35% toward a level 1 port. I want to build the port first so that the unloading of supplies and fuel will be more efficient when I
start to expand the airfield. And I need a level 3 airfield for what I have planed. It's looking like Manila is going to fall in the next week or
so and some of those troops would go nicely out here in this part of the woods. And I can get them here from Manila in about two weeks.
I'm guessing.

I've got a sub that's been babysitting the port at Darwin because, even though it's mined and everything, I just thought a little backup
might be in order. But now, with the Allied TF approaching Port Moresby, probably w/ transports in tow, I'm thinking I should have moved
the sub to at least Horn Island about a week ago. Those Allied surface forces might get adventuresome and force their way NW of Horn
Island. And into the midst of all my resources shipping pipeline. D'oh. I'd better divert the BB I've been using to bombard Darwin to
looking after the security of Horn Island and environs. Which means that the DD that's sitting at Horn Island right now might be better
used as an escort for said BB to escort it to Horn Island instead of the 3 AVD's that the BB has now. The DD is faster and makes a
ready-made TF when combined w/ the BB. It just feels right to do it that way. Seems like the kind of thing the Japs would do.

Okie dokie, I've finally got the northern mini-KB together and fueled up and so on....I think I'll start at Attu and do a survey of the Allied
ports along the chain there on over to Alaska etc. as far as I can go on the fuel I've got now.....although I'll send the AO(s) to sort of
follow the CV's. I'm doing this to sort of "clear a path" of good recon along the chain as to the presence of ships or planes, something
along those lines.....plus I just want to see what kind of range one tank full of gas is. Would be good to know someday.

The 114th Inf Rgt is pulling into Merak for unloading. I'm going to give them a couple of days to gather whatever supplies they need
and then I'm going to thrust them into the fighting in Batavia. I'm hoping that the addition of these additional troops will get the advance
moving again.
