lyrics from a Cake song...guess it looks a little suspect out of context, eh?
The Distance lyrics
Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time.
The green light flashes, the flags go up.
Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
Fuel burning fast on an empty tank.
Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn.
As they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
The fans get up and they get out of town.
The arena is empty except for one man,
Still driving and striving as fast as he can.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But he's driving and striving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.
He's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
She's all alone
In her time of need.
Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse,
He's going the distance.
No trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine,
He's haunted by something he cannot define.
Bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse,
Assail him, impale him with monster-truck force.
In his mind, he's still driving, still making the grade.
She's hoping in time that her memories will fade.
Cause he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
And long ago somebody left with the cup.
But he's striving and driving and hugging the turns.
And thinking of someone for whom he still burns.
Cause he's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
She's all alone
In her time of need.
Because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
He's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
He's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
He's going the distance.
He's going for speed.
He's going the distance.
It's one of the better songs to have stuck in my head. Thanks.

You'd never have thought that Newark would be the target of an air raid.
I've been to Newark, NJ. It looks like it get pounded by air attacks daily. [:)]

i'm embarrassed to say that one of my favorites is the cover they did of "I Will Survive"...maybe it's the shameless use of the f-word that makes it so...[X(]

Not kidding about Newark NJ. I got off at the wrong exit on the way to Newark's airport. It started to feel like I was in a Spike Lee urban remake of Deliverance [X(]

Quick prayer out to Japan and other Pacific island areas. A 8.8 quake is being reported on BBC and CNN, I hope the damage is not severe and that the loss of life is minimal.

TTIFF!
I think it's pretty rude of you to imply that Leo can't find his morning good. It's not his fault that Japan has been smacked again.

Hi all,
Really really bad thing this quake near Japan... but the bigger problem is Tsunami in pacific I am afraid... it was extremely powerful and shallow one... [:(]
BTW, the first thing I do when I get to work is to fire up the FireFox and go the "THE THREAD!!!" before doing anything else...
Also here we have true spring (and this is why it was good morning)!
The temperatures will reach +20 degrees Centigrade in the afternoon with blue skies and sun. The only problem is that mornings are still rather chill with temperatures below 0 degrees Centigrade (thus the one single day temperature difference is above 20 degrees centigrade which is very very big value)...

It is not a good morning in Japan and the Pacific, but it is, fortunately, a good morning here. So.....
Good Friday morning - Tithe. [&o][&o][&o]
