Turn 15. Jan/Feb 1942. Trade.

The only change from last turn was that Germany reduced the number of resources sent to Italy to 2 (1 oil) from 4 (1 oil).

JF42 i1: DOW step
The following declarations have been made.
Germany and Italy DOW the USSR (resulting in one chit going to the entry pool).
Japan declares war on the CW and France (resulting in 6 chits going into the US entry pool).
The Japanese call out their reserves.
{I have not yet had the chance to align minors}

Turn 15. Jan/Feb 1942. Axis #1. USSR Reserves?

Though the USSR called out the reserves, they won't be available until next turn (Mar/Apr 1941). That's not right is it?

That is not right. You should be able to set them up disorganized. Let me check what auto saved game files I may have.

Aligned Rumania and Siam. Rolls shown below resulted in no US entry chits.

In case you were not aware, I needed the Germans to DOW Russia so that they could align Finland. If the USSR had moved first and declared war on Germany, then Finland would never have been allowed to align to Germany.

Also, I have to break for dinner now and it may be a few hours, I'm going to need to think things through carefully. Don't wait up for me.

Question: were there any other Japanese MIL removed from the map when Japan got neutral (units whitout an R on the counter)? If so: I smell a bug, since all MIL which are removed when a major power revers to neutrality should be put in the reserve pool...

Peter,

I went back and checked.
Just before the Chinese surrender in MA41, all of the Japanese Miltia had been built. All but the Hiroshima were on the map, the Hiroshima had just been built and was on the spiral for arrival in MJ41. I also checked just after reinforcements in MJ41, at that point all the miltia (reserve and war labeled) were in the reserve pool except for the Hiroshima. Looking for it in the units menu, I found that it was under future force pool additions.

So, I suspect you are correct and there is a bug. I believe that all of these should have been placed back on the board once Japan was back at war since they had been built earlier. Let me know what saved game files you would like me to place in the Tech Forum.

JF42: i1 naval moves
Actions: GE Land, JP super combined (offensive chit), Italy combined
No naval air for Japan. German moves Condor to the E. Med 4-box. Italy moves Gabbiano to W. Med 4-box and a Macchi fighter to the 1-box of BoB.

Italy is moving the fleet in Gibraltar to W. Med. Will you intercept?

Yes, use one of the French heavy cruisers in the 1-box for the attempt.

French found on a two (Duqueana initiated). The Italians stop in the 4-box.

JF42 i1:
Below is shown the naval combat options for this impulse.
The Italians have initiated in BoB and the axis reacted a number of air units out to the 1-box. What will the CW react out?

2nd, the Italians will not initiate in the W. Med. Do the Allies wish to initiate searches?j

On the Asian fronts, I don't believe the allies will be able to react any aircraft out.
