October 1st and heres the results from the JAVA fight were the vis was 8 and raining for another defend and I didn't use any mines,except what my core force engineers will drop before I had them retreat.

central VH condition at the end of turn 34 and have just had my northern front cover troop destroy the jap HQ

the enemy HQ tried to rush the south side of the north front VH's,passing threw the building where my 3inch AA gun is abandoned.

the south front VH cluster switched hands about 5 times in the course of the battle from turns 16-33 I really thought they where going to take and hold it on me.

I made all my core forces try to fallback to the rear VH's closest to their starting defence positions and set up my midsized units to respond likewise

Having my core infantry pull back first and the support and engineers replace retired units in the front line covered by my tanks worked pretty good and having my heavy artillary on a hill with an ammo dump in the centre rear was where any surviving support was directed to retreat to

The northern most rear VH is just getting the remnants of their forward positions survivers and will rally up beside the ammo truck before reestablishing a defensive perimeter around these VH's

notice the "tenticles I've protruded into the centre of the map inside the gullies of the rise in terrain, and how I'm retracting them as contact occures, and after the engineers placed available mines.
