Want to print one of your maps on a lamented canvas. What files would I need to send to my "printer"? Does he need a unique program to put all the pieces together? Thanks so much for these amazing pieces of art.

I downloaded the official planning map and took it to Staples hoping to get a nice wall map printed out. However, they said nope. Claimed it would violate copyright laws. Anyone else run into this situation?

Have you tried your luck at a different store? Their policy might depend on the person you talk to.

They are correct that it is a copyright violation.

That said, a "Mom & Pop" type print shop is more likely to make an exception than a coporate chain will, especially if you can speak directly to the owners of said print shop to explain the situation. It also helps if you're only ordering a single copy and if you get it laminated (if available) so as to demonstrate you intend to use it for long-term personal use. Also mention that a physical version of the product is not available for sale. Even then, YMMV.

Ideally, Matrix would offer a reasonable small quantity print license fee so everything is above board... but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. It is a nice value-add to have a enlarged reference map (both digital and physical) for a game as complex as WitP-AE. If all else fails, you could always use the digital planning map on a 2nd monitor.

Take a screenshot of the website where it shows that you can have the map printed out - i.e. the copywrite holder has made it public domain.

Also copy the link to that page so the store can see you have not doctored the screenshot.

yes.
I already blew the dust off the old scripts and they still work.
But I planned to wait a bit because there seem to be further updates to the data and a map takes over an hour to build.

If you like to have one specific map then I could build that in advance.

Thank you for the time you put into this wonderful tool! As a complete newbie (the FNG to some ) this will help so much in learning this beast.
