Argentina vs Germany...... now that's going to be a tasty game. Who to support this time. Argentina? Maradona's Hand of God still grates so I think I may have to support the Germans.... first time for everything.
Holland vs Brazil..... another potentially great game. Usually support Holland but then again have to love Brazil....
The World Cup always gets better when England are out... I can relax and watch the football.

Have to agree on most of that - its tough to support either, but definately prefer the Germans.
Have to support Holland because after the "crime" of 1974 and then losing again in 1978, I desperately want them to win it.
Re England: Yes - I agree, I found Euro 2008 much better for that reason. OR am I just telling myself that because I'm in denial [;)]

Yep - what I don't understand is this....it was clearly a goal if the guys hands did not get in the way...so why not just award the goal...why leave it to the gods by giving aqq penalty....IT WAS A GOAL!!!

The ball never crossed the goal line, so no goal.
Mind you as we have seen, even when the ball does cross the line somtimes its still no goal... [8|]
Unlucky for Ghana, I thought they were the better team tonight and they deserved to go through.
Don't fancy Uruguay's chance's against the Dutch, unless they resort to cheating again [;)]

Yeah...but those are the crappy football rules. If the guy hadn't used his hands it would've been in...no cheat = ball over line[:-]

I think that is a very good idea and full of common-sense. That hand prevented the ball from going over the line. If that hand wasn't there, then it would have gone OVER. Award the goal!
When that useless dinosaur, Sepp Blatter goes (and that sour-faced sychophant, Platini with him) then Mr J Dredd is my choice for FIFA's head. Baltter or Blatter is too stuck in his ways.

This is getting better and better.... Germany v Spain should set up a great final whoever wins....
Looks like Torres is going to join Chelsea so perhaps I'll have to support Germany..... but I do like Spain. Torres why are you treating me so badly?
