OKay........I've gotten some more moves from John and I'm moving my units and I've come upon another one of those armoured train
units that has to run on the rail and here's a case, again, of where it's respawning on a non-rail hex. So I guess I'll just disband it too.

Here's what's left of my Stalin Line. It's really confused and getting out of control.

"...It's really confused and getting out of control..."

Well it *is* 1941 still, so historically quite correct. I agree with you that looking at that map ... [X(]
Remember that Stalin and his generals at the time mostly didn't even know where their troops were...only way to find out was actually visit them.

It has taken almost the entire turn to break out of the bridgehead. Depending on what is front I should make contact with the paratroopers next turn

The southern front just before the end of turn 15. My recon units are now racing down south east to see what forces I can trap on the west side of the river

John is breaking through at Pskov. My defenders weren't ready and the defense was make shift and obviously wasn't adequate so I'm
not surprised at this turn of events. Now I'll have to depend on the close-in defenders and I'll bet they aren't ready either.

I suspect the yellow diamonds are the houserule "No-Go Line" for the Finns. Sound right?

I'm wondering what the yellow diamonds are supposed to signify to the north of Leningrad. I'm guessing they are a national border
symbol.

Has anyone ever actually completed this scenario PBEM more than once? I wonder how players have experienced the flow of events. Do the German players typically win or are they ascendant in 41-42 before the Russians start getting a leg up from 43 on-ward, with or without some big Stalingrad-like disaster. Or something different.

I'm not sure FITE2 has been played PBEM before. It's not being played PBEM now. John Fogger and I are sending a hot-seat file
back and forth because the scenario couldn't find it's equipment file.

I'm not sure how I'm doing strategically but tactically I'm losing I think. John is beating me to the best terrain to defend in and it's starting
to show. We haven't seen any mega-pockets yet but John is working on making one I bet. It's only T15 and thus may be too early to
get a grip on the strategic situation yet. Here's how the air war is going right now.

This is the 1st game of FITE2 to have an AAR. It is my understanding that the developers also have a test game going.

This current game between Larry and myself is also a test game. It would be a real pain in the butt if the game was released and you get turn 299 and it makes a left hand turn and crashes into a blue screen because a "," was in the wrong place.

So far we have found a couple of small bugs. But not sure if they are TOAW 3.6 or FITE2 related. People are looking at / working on them as I type. As Larry has stated we are playing "2 player hot seat" because there was a problem with 3.6 doing PBEM but this may be fixed.

As for FITE 1 there are a number of players who have played several games to the end. My first game I got to turn 386 before I lost. I think Larry has played 3 or 4 games of FITE1.

Are FITE1 turns half-week? If so, it's mighty impressive that this monster scenario loosely matched the historical timeline -- i.e., ending c. mid 1945.

Well guys
I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that this game between Larry and me as come to an end. Some of the bugs found to date have created a few problems.

The good new is that Soren and team have been working on the bugs found so far in FITE2 and Ralph has fixed 3.6 so that it can now play PBEM. (He is still working on other issues)

So Soren and I will now test play by PBEM the updated FITE2. As I work as an accountant and with the EOFY I become a busy little boy so Larry has agreed to be my editor / ghost-writer. I will be sending my end of turn files to him and he will be posting the AAR.

Now all I got do is to get this 3.6 to load ( I have been working on it for the past 1.5 hours) and we should be off and running.

Stay tuned.

I am 30% of the way into my first turn with Soren. I should finish Friday or sometime on the week end. I will send Larry a file to start the new AAR shortly. have already destroyed 4,500 aircraft for the lost of 15

Now you only need to find a way to do so every turn [;)]
