One of the things this mod needs for the Allies is some larger caliber guns. You get outgunned with just having 155mm and need some FA with 8" guns. Add in an armored division or two to help with your counterattack. Per Symon, the best thing to use is some of your American CD units as artillery.

For your SC TF I would use my favorite combo....4 Cleveland Class CLs and 8 Fletchers. Anything but BBs are toast vs these guys!!

Fairly non-dramatic events these last days.
1. More ground combat with general allied success in Oz
2. allied relief task forces - the third wave to Oz will arrive in Townsville in 2 or three turns. Forces will pushed south to take Brisbane, which is the next major objective other than mopping up the Horne.
3. Allied transports have succeeded in investing Oz with all forward forces, and transport fleets are moving back to Pearl to move up more forces for staging.
4. preparations underway to assault Diego Cargia

And I decide to goto Orlando to visit my mom for the weekend, and it rains. Go figure.

I wish I could say that my sub campaign has been more successful, but it definitely hasn't. 8 subs lost fort 9 ships sunk. All but one sub lost to ASW, 6 of which were lost by straying into enemy ports or within one hex of Japan. I gotta say I'm doing a lousy job of managing the subs, even if I have subs to burn.

My philosophy in this super enhanced empire mod related to subs is attritional 2 to 1. Although you have to take the losses tab with a grain of salt because merchants are usually under reported as killed, I am not getting there with my losses. I need to ensure my patrol zones don't go into these super ASW zones. I know better, but I am not doing it effectively. I think the cumulative effect of all the mods make the empire late war asw x3 effective.

I have not seen a great need to continues to spend huge amounts on reserve pilots at this point in the war.

Interesting thought. Certainly that is a risk.

I have a couple CV's a few Cruisers and about 100 DD's between Pearl and an West Coast. There are several thousand AV at Pearl
and about 200 AK / AP types in that general vicinity. I also have patrol planes and a few small combatants out in those waters.
I have about 5 total divisions of AV in USA and about 300 combat planes all training. I also am constantly moving ships along most of the travel lanes

I put SF attack probability at low. The empire has lost most of its combat fleet above DD. While they certainly could gather 5-7 divisions
and make the attack, it would be a one way journey to be sure at this juncture in the game. I would suggest the prob of getting to within 30 hexes
of USA unspotted at 25%.

It would be exiting if he did it though - wouldn't it!
