I messed up in set up, there was only artillery adjacent to Maas and later Mech an MOT from reserves was deployed there. In impulse 3 I should have used Rundstedt to reirganize MOT and Mech (combined). I missed it because attack in Netherlands went better than I imagined. In the beginning of impulse 5 I noticed the situation.

Well once the "No ZoC on Surprise" optional will be coded no more need for silly naval invasion of Netherland.

I think the "No ZOC on Surprise" option is far more silly. You might as well not even have any Belgian units. I never saw any game at any of the WiFcons I've been at to use that option. If you want to play with the big boys... I personally like playing with the Ukraine option, but that is also never played with...oh well...

I hope its never coded...waste of time...work on NetPlay instead.

S/O 39 Allies 6

No DoW

CW naval, France & China land, rest combined.

CW leaves West Med. Mech in Biscay to Gib. 4 CA's to East Med 3 box from Aden. Joined by 2 CA's from Alex to 4-box. Dutch and Danish CP's start relocating to where they will be needed. CA with Inf Div sails from Plymouth to Cape Town.

US completes journeys of a sub to Midway and P-40 and Hudson to Pearl.

Only East Med for naval combat.

CA York initiates searching. Allies 1, Axis 7. 4 points used to increase damage to Italians and 2 points used to reduce losses. Where to Italians wish to allocate to X and D?

Mayhemizer has gone off-line so I'll take a punt at putting the X on Gorizia on the grounds it's got the best chance of surviving it and, if it does, the best chance of surviving the D result as well.

It doesn't work.

Italian CL's abort back to La Spezia. CW subs let them pass.

I don't think I would have wanted the CA to take the hit...the CL's are soak off's to me.

Well, it's easily remedied.

It is OK. And La Spezia is where wanted to go.

France rails the Cav from Nice to Calais.

USSR moves a Mech to south of Lvov.

The Communists move up to have a go at the Jap 23rd Inf.

The Nationalists move up for a long shot go at Wuhan.

The French move into Belgium as the rivers provide a better defence than the French border.

The Japs can fly a 1-factor ground support to the attack on 23rd Inf. Current odds 14:6 +4.667.

Yes please for ground support and land plane in Tungkwan. Assault for both attacks. Japs have high hopes for both attacks.

Germany is confident they can destroy French army in Belgium.

Can we get a screen shot of the western front after the French move into Belgium please?

Hi JT,

Happy to oblige.

With the BEF either shattered on the reinforcement track or at the bottom of the North Sea, it's a little thinner than I would have hoped. Gort is sat on top of the Queens, not a land unit. I suppose it was probably a mistake not to have reorganised some at least of the reserves but I'm conscious of the French oil situation.

The Jap bomber flies and lands as ordered.

Final land combat odds. They aren't great but the Communists need to try and ease the crisis and Wuhan is a bit of a punt. Losses are expected.

Hampden rebases to Malta.

We now realise our folly around French reorganisation as the two HQ's are inf and wouldn't cost oil to reorganise. Should have used them [:(]. I've also forgotten to move Gerorges as intended. This doesn't bode well.

Oh well, too late now. No reorgs.

On a 7, the weather deteriorates a little.

INF HQ costs 0,4 oil to reorganize and AMR HQ costs 0,6.

Edit: Next impulse is not that fun and easy as I hoped...

Ah well, that's some comfort, although I don't think it will make too much difference to France now.
