A task force is formed in the North Atlantic to hunt German naval units there.
For now it is severely lacking in destroyers as there are 4 under repair in the UK.

The UK further invests in ASW technology (I don't usually go above level 3).

The UK eliminates Italian garrisons in Massawa and Gondar.

There is an Axis coup in Argentina. Never had that play out before,
not sure it will have much impact.

17 July 1942

Lanchow falls. The Germans surge forward in Russia.

Japan looks serious about India. India buys an anti-air unit.

The Soviets rebuy an army and a heavy tank as they keep falling back.

The US rebuys a fighter and invests in ASW. It buys a rocket artillery.

The UK only manages to find a single u-boat in the far north and inflicts a few
steps of damage. We bomb another u-boat in Brest harbour. Another CVL is bought.
UK ASW tech increases to 3.

14 August 1942

Moscow falls. Elite German units are just walking through
the poor Soviet defenders who lose heavily.

Japan is serious about invading India. It's a smart move as it may force
the US to send aircraft, something we REALLY don't want to do.

China buys an army.

The USSR is collapsing. They rebuy 1 corps and 1 army.

The New York BB runs into a u-boat. They buy a maritime bomber
and repair/reinforce units.

The UK attacks Syria and takes Damascus. The hunt for u-boats
continues with very limited success. Advanced fighters is researched.

11 September 1942

It's a complete rout in Russia. Japanese forces land in India.
The UK loses a carrier to u-boat attacks.

Japan is indeed serious about India. India reinforces.

The Soviets rebuy 2 armies and eliminate a paratrooper that landed in Ufa.

While really not prepared for it, the US loads for long distance amphibious assault.
Units are upgraded. Searches for u-boats fail.

The UK sinks 2 German destroyers but the u-boats just keep diving. The arctic route is
abandoned as it is just throwing away supplies at this point. Even an Italian naval bomber
has deployed in the north.

All available naval units head to the Atlantic. Scouting of beach defenses reveal at least a corps
in each harbour and at least one panzer unit in reserve. Chances of success at estimated at less than 10%.
No really, we don't have near the amount of airpower needed.

The UK buys a medium bomber.

9 October 1942

Germany breaks through what little remains of Soviet defenses.

India struggles to defend itself without outside help.

Russia rebuilds a single army.

The US invasion fleet sails. It builds one HQ.
Lend lease to the UK is halted.

The UK takes Addis Ababa. Of very little consequence.
It builds 2 paratroopers.

6 November 1942

The Soviet rout continues.
The UK loses two battleships to u-boats.

India holds.

The Soviets lack the resources to fully reinforce their units.

The US researches Heavy Bombers. It buys 2 tactical bombers and a maritime bomber.

The UK takes Mogadishu and Djibouti. They declare war on Iraq.
The UK researches Advanced Tanks and Amphibious Warfare. It's the first time
they invest in Amphibious Warfare, currently at tech 0.

4 December 1942

Situation pretty much unchanged. Heavy armor is spotted in France.

The UK takes Baghdad and sends help to India. They sink one u-boat off France.

One US AVL runs into a u-boat and is sunk (unsure what was on board). They take
delivery of 3 destroyers and buy 1 tactical bomber, 2 special forces and 1 medium
bomber.
