This is a D*mn fine question, and one I have been debating myself..... If I can take Ledo it will cut his supplies to Myit..., and if he attacks from the north he will have to shock attack across a river, I might then pursue the retreating troops once Myit.. falls. The only problem with this plan is I have no desire to invade India by land. To be frank the Kohima op is just a compromise of the above plan and I'll probably discount it after a bit of thought and a glass of wine........I always like to try to use the Paras aggressively as many advisaries leave the rear areas exposed (as it were)

Building, building, building. The front around Port Moresby. We are building at Gili Gili, Lae, Rabaul, and Lunga. Should have Port Moresby isolated completely by the end of the month. Sending two BoomBoxes to bombard PM earlier lastweek was not a good idea. Both of them were hit by torpedos from bombers at PM, they both should made it back to Truk. So now we build ,and then we will return the favor. Thursday Island will be captured soon. With the assault on PM will start. In early Jan the Americans had their noses bloodied in the coral and lost 5-6 heavy crusiers. I just missed one carrier group around Guadacanal. If the Americans want to stop the lost of PM their carriers will have to be used. I hope they try.

Area around Lauthem. Using the 56th has an advantage with their engineers, they can help build up the base while prepping for Koepang. I hope to have Timor secure by early March. At this time most of the ABDA air nad naval units are being used to boat lift units out of Malaya.

More than 1,300 Japanes planes destroyed in Feb 1942? Very bloody affair! What about pilot and aircraft pools? Should be quite empty by now.

Yes it has been very bloody. As this point fighters, primary Zeros are an issue.

We are still building around Port Moresby, but the Allies have finally decided to reinforce PM. The plan is to smash these transports. If the American carriers want to come out and play, so much the better, The KB will be in range in 1-2 days at the big red dot. From there the commander will slide the KB down towards Gili Gili and finish off the transports. The Emperor needs some good news for a change.

South Seas Fleet--KB continues its seek and destroy of transports around Port Moresby. Americans are now scattering their ships and task forces. Three more transports were sunk along with two DMs. There seems to about 15-20 more transports in the area some of which are now fleeing for OZ. Hopefully we can intercept before they are in range of OZ and air cover there.

Lauthem continues to build and shortly should be a level three base. Then the fun of assaulting Koepang.

RElief convoys the Allies sent to Port Moresby were hit hard on their way back over the last 10 days. It seams the American commander was not happy --- so the American carriers hvave moved up into the Coral Sea. At this point KB 1 air ops are at 57%. I am going to move it back over the air umbrella from Rabaul. KB2 is moving to intercept the USN carriers and join with KB1. This will take 3 days. If I can catch the Americans out in the open ocean , then i will have chance to destroy them. I would have sent KB1 even with the lower air ops to engage the carriers, but I don't know how many there are. With KB2 joining the battle, I might be able to catch the carriers in a two prong attack.

Landings at Merauke are taking place and with a baseforce, my plan is to build it up to a level 2 base and place either vals or kates there and close the the back door to norhtern OZ. This base will be backed up by Wewak which is a level 4 base now.
