I fear the PI will fall to soon ! .. im 1/2 split between the 2 hexes and neither is strong enough on its own . Good news though another 2.5K supply ship 180 miles from bataan ! .. too little too late maybe , but it helps

24k Oil loaded on 2 tankers at palembang heading to Perth-Adelaide. all helps and reduces a bit what he will capure too. some Dutch hawks are tasked with LR cap till the group reaches the open seas.

also AS newly arrived in townsville .. great timing here ( accidental) .. 12 american subs are realy for deployment after evacuating substantial parts of the rabaul defence forces. the S boats will patrol south of Rabaul, while the bigger subs will continue to pull out troops from the bismark is.

I have reports of 2 CV at Rabaul too. ? if real he may be heading for a noumea attack ! .. only the AMerical and one NZ brigade in position in level 2 forts ! .. quite a bit heading here but i may divert if it looks too dangerous ( HQ+BF etc. )

Another issue is a reinforced japanese group (4 units) now in the hex east of Yenen, cutting supply yet again .. humm .. looks too big to shift, may have to try another approach to at least allow the troops a retreat path. Also a chinese corps is snaking round east of ichang to cut supply .. looking good so far .. he left few troops in the rear [:D]. Should be a distraction at least.

Supply in china is getting better overall as i dont bombard with anything , seems like a waste of time imo.

Do you intend to move more supplies to SRA? If succesfull than I think you can cause him even more harm [:D]

Baker Island seems nice... If you have another CD Unit or RCT force to spare than I would seriously think about moving them in too... that would bolster the defenses quite nicely.... and maybe an PT Boat squadron or DD TF on standby in case he moves in without his CV's.

Yup Aztez i have 9 PT's here as well. also slowly accumulating a light surface force in canton CA+CL + several DD's just in case. I dont want to strip canton to accomdate baker is. I have moved an AA unit to baker this turn and supplies are unloading unhindered so far. As for a spare RCT ?? humm .. maybe the one Pago Pago as its pretty much in the rear right now .. good idea. ( now where are my damn transports ? ).. the capacity reduction really has made a differance to both sides.

Brisbane has a good american surface group .. see picture

and the 7th australian division newly arrived is prepping for port moresby and will be shunted north to brisbane to await possible shipping north ( i have kept back in australia a substantial merchant presence ) The US CV's refuel at melbourne and head to perth . while AO's are making thier way there too. 2 Large brit supply convoys en route to Perth too. one just past ceylon , one about 4 days ahead of it.

Derby now home to Force Z and the 3 R class and one brit CV .. ( with escorts and several AP's to transport troops to timor ) .. I have used the PP recently to evac part of the PI Naval HQ to darwin and the 4TH USMC has been switched to allow cadre evac too ( i checked with Ken and he's happy for me to do so as its well into march and the PI is really doomed now)

The DEI awaits the hammer .. troops digging in all over the place . Nothing added to the defences but time is allowing good fort levels , even though supply is a bit low ( i pulled out too much to timor and OZ) .. may divert a few brit ships as they sail past.

Singapore holds , but supply is getting lower 17k now.The damaged subs (2) made it to Sumatra and once they stop flooding go to colombo for repairs.

Burma is fine . he withdrew from the rail hex .. and hopefully lashio will be back in allied hands soon.

China is a confused mess. Executive decision taken to pull out some troops frem central china to help in the north and east. I'll screnie chine soon so you can see what i mean ..

Your opponent is getting hammered in China... His losses are way too high and I would assume that his offensives will soon slow down there [:D]

Hmpf... 17 000 supplies isn't that much in Singapore... Any chance of getting couple AK's there to relieve the supply demand? ...or has he blockaded the whole SRA?

My personal view is that you have already bought valuable time by delaying the IJN advance... things are looking bright for you Rob [;)]

No real chance of getting any more Ak's to singapore now .. most have been sunk in the SRA .. there are a few trickling back from australia. i will have a go at maybe 1-2 more .. its just supplies in java are low too. so cant really move any more out. not nearly enough .. 11k batavia 13k soerbaja . loading up 5 k is a huge chunk that in all probability will get sunk

The more i think i will divert one aussie bound convoy to java. sumatra will just have to survive alone for now. the oil is piling up in palambang .. just waiting for capture . the 50k i have removed is a drop in the ocean.

Aztez . i found the old AK in batavia that succesfully did the first supply run to bataan last month. she's at 17 sys but loading up anyway for singapore .. lets hope she stays lucky !

Also the BF convoy has rounded NE Oz safely and is heading to Derby instead of darwin , as darwin has 250 AV support now anyway ( rebuilt dutch) .. Derby needs a bit more . then the extra to go to timor .. Also 64 Bolo's in darwin swopped into 64 B26B's .. much more useful .

first off , i will be away for the christmas period ( tomorrow to after new year) and will not be able to play/post here .. so best seasons greetings to everyone who takes the time ro read my drivel[;)]

Anyway, back on track .. the assault in china failed ! gah .. and he has moved into the escape hex too. so i am back to being surrounded again . in a probably vain effort 3 corps are ordered to attack over the river line to the south of ichang! .. desperate times indeed.

Over the course of the last 2 days the AK corregidor made it to singapore ! then got smashed by low level zeros attacking my PT suprise . she s still unloading but i doubt she will make it home. ( brave ship) delivered 1k supply 1k left to go.

excellent news .. 3 chinese divs and one Hq heading from lashio-mandalay. 2 divs will stay on the rail line and one will remain in lashio ( 6 in total) with another HQ.

I may try and cut off his spearhead into burma next .. the caribineers have arrived 60 miles n of mandalay and the 7th armoured is on the way.

Indian coast round diamond harbour and chandpur is well enough defended ( and more troops in land as a reserve )

Got a new Brit CV today too ! .. may well operate in 'view' in the bay of bengal else go join the hermes in java .. still undecided.

the AK Corrgidor sank leaving singapore harbour yesterday. however she did drop off 2k supply. another 5.5k AK is loading at batavia. 10 Brit AK's unloading at tjiljap unopposed this will greatly help Java overall and will allow me to upgrade any RAF units come may ( rather useful)

Apparently i was booted out from NE Ichang (but ok on map ??? ) .. that lifeline looks closed. I was hopeing he didnt have any divs free for rear area duty.

overall a rather good allied turn .. but i am very concerned about china ! , Burma seems to be able to hold its own for now , at least the jap a/f is keeping quiet .. the elite 80+ hurricanes in mandalay are being stood down as weather is causing 4 damaged a/c a turn , even on cap 60% .. no sign of jap fighters or bombers anywhere .. recon ( old dutch rubbish) .. flying happily from mandalay and akyab ..

he has sent some subs east of canton is. in the pacific . the B26B's flying search are finding a few .. as long as they keep thier heads down i dont mind one iota.

for the record Baker will get 160 AV support and tank batallion next ( loading at canton) .. although it is only a/f size 1 .. as soon as 4 i intend to try and supress tarawa with LB-30's ( albeit at reduced bomb load)

Tha Pacific is dead quiet .. tarawa made a size 2 a/f recently .. other than that .. nothing

SW pac .. renell is invaded today .. solomons will be his soon. I am still undecided about whether to send up an aussie div + AT unit and possibly huge AV support from brisbane (270) .. any ideas ?

Derby now has 250+ AV support ( newly arrived from the USA ) .. and the AO's are almost in Perth ( although Perth is very short on fuel right now .. need to pull more out of the DEI or send some from india ( the reduced amount available in karachi hurts in this respect rather a lot ).

Me too ??? .. i almost exclusively use deliberate attacks unless i have an armour advantage and its a non city hex. Oh well it can achieve great resuts as shock attack and i truly expected battan to capitulate rapidly.

anyway FYI allied sig int reports .. only useful bit of news is south seas det looks like a permanent garrison for wake is. good neas as this unit is very very useful in the SW pacific theatre. and untill PI or singapore goes he's troop short in this area.

one interesting report was from a unit of I153's today who ground attacked a jap unit south of ichang.. only an arty unit reported ! .. excellent this may well allow me to open up an escape route if nothing else.

BUT .. for some odd reason i cant move across the river ( troops have been on the move for weeks and today moved to the rail hex south of where i ordered them ?? odd .. also maybe planning a raid on central china for the near future .. recon divs sent out to have a look and be annoying [;)]

chinese supply is fine right now. the dakotas in ledo are to pick up the more heavily depleted brit units in mandalay for a rest in catcutta/dacca .. then sene them back in .. mandalay is now fort 9 and a/f size 3 .. the bigger the base the less malaria i think.. so i may be able to recover depleted units in loco soon enough. the 4 Chinese Divs help a lot here too.

I am in the process of moving out troops from koepang to derby for R&R .. the CD for example was at 1/2 strength and badly fatigued .. one week in derby should fix it happily ( HQ and support adequate. with 30k supply on hand too)

Also considering sending back a small av support BF to Bali as a bridge to Java .. its currently empty.

AMerical div and one NZ brigade in Noumea .. not a lot i know ..

Canton and Baker are looking rather tough right now .. Pago has an RCT just in case too.

when i get some marine paras here .. ? maybe air drop somewhere annoying to him .. the island south of tarawa looks weak .. even tarawa only has 3 units there .. very very tempting for a counterattack BUT .. no idea os location of KB .. if its in the DEI i may try to recapture Tarawa before it becomes a level 4 a/f . this is a bit over optimisitic mind you [;)].. just holding Baker as a future stepping stone would be a major victory in the S Pacific. I send down some more AA and the rest of the 3rd marine CD unit from PH to baker today too. this place will be a really tough cookie imo. I want heavy AA to hurt any KB air groups that will almost have to come and support any attack here. also lots of CD guns too. and 2 RCT will with hopefully level 9 forts will prove to be tough.

Canton B26B's will be changed to B26'c's when i have more available as the C varient can reach baker from canton, the B is one hex too short ( all the nice guns it carries)
