I've always had a dell and can't complain. My wife is an apple lover....She wants an all in one apple that we can run windows and her mac crap on....should I take the plunge?
The machine itself is OK - but i've had an extraordinary run with the sales and service department. They have lied/misrepresented things at every turn. i am seriously thinking of getting rid of my machine so that i won't have to do business with them in the future.
WOW! [X(] Boy, things have changed! A year ago when I had one of my hard drives fail, they couldn't do enough for me. I was looking for a laptop, but now I wonder if I still want to go Dell (I've had 3 of their products). [:(]
For what it is worth I have used Dells for a very long time now, must have bought and sold hundreds over the years. We currently have about 30 up and running in our office. And I have never really encountered any major problems, and the service seems to have always been fine. We run dozens and dozens of different applications from all sorts of venders, they are on all the damn time ( especially this time of year [:)] ) and I have never thought we needed to migrate to a different platform.
Admittedly we use them in very a straightforward number crunching, data manipulation manner. But still, we cannot tolerate any downtime in my business, time is money after all [;)] I am not a tech guy really, but no one else ( HP, etc ) has ever been able to give us the same deals that Dell does. We work with our IT folks every year in regards to seeking bids and so forth, Dell always comes up with the best packages.

Wow, what a selfish, foolish person. And now he spends a decade of his life behind bars.

Have just finished packing for my upcoming vacation. Leaving for the Canary Islands tomorrow evening. Gone until next Friday. Will drop in and say hello if I find an Internet computer somewhere handy.
Good night friends. [>:]
Per is going Canary hunting. [:D]
I wondered what happened to my dental floss.

Have fun. Don't do anything stupid, or if you do, don't get caught.

Not much problem with their machines: it is their sales and support staff that lie through their teeth. At every stage.
Maybe if i was a corporate customer, they might treat me differently.
Maybe they can probably offer the best prices to the corporate customers since they screw over the individual customers.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to say "Don't do anything that Yuri might do?" [:'(]
