Well, I've managed to make enemies of half the people on Matrix, so I think I'll wrap things up, go get a rifle, head out & kill something....

I have always wanted to go Moose hunting. The re-introduced them to Colorado several years back, and they are starting to make a come back. The have a season, but it is draw 80 tags statewide. I'm OK with that. I may go to Alaska one day, but I gotta get the kid through college first.

There's a small season in Minnesota too. Canada has quite the hunt. If you get into bow hunting moose (like some of my Quebecois relatives), you've got my respect. [X(] Personally, I'd want to put a hundred yards and a full magazine between myself and a bull that I've just shot.

Buy a sailor a drink! Or three! [:D]
I bought a sailor two tickets to an NFL game a couple of weeks ago, does that count? He bought his own drinks...
Bless your heart sir! Neptunus Rex has a special place in his heart for your kind act. [&o][&o][&o]
I have know the young man since he was a cub scout, watched him progress through his Eagle rank and then get into the Navy. He was on the Big E, not sure where his assignment is now, other than somewhere near Seattle. If he doesn't tell me, I don't ask.

It was the least I could do for a great guy and someone putting it all on the line for myself, my family, and my country.

I do like to bow hunt, but hunting something capable of demolishing a 3/4 ton pickup, with a bow, just makes me twitch a bit. I am trying to talk my son into going boar hunting in Texas with our bows. Wanna come?

That takes some skill too! Boar with a bow? You'd have my respect!

Like you with moose, I prefer a bit more kinetic energy on my side. Something like a .338 Lapua mag. On the ground, I wouldn't do anything less against boar.

From the air, however....this is on my bucket list...[8D]
