Pekkavilamoura (Axis) [LOSS] vs. Ilo4Tu (Allies) [WIN].
When after 3 or 4 turns you know you don't have any chance of winning - as Axis !! - you better give up.
I will return into my training camp and challenge Ilo4Tu sometime in the future... great player!

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs PanzerRommel (Axis) --- Very touch match, indeed. Went heavy defense of France, heavy defense and counter-attacks in Sicily then Italy. The Americans lost alot of units, and were rugged, lost lots of ships and MMPs into Air Battles and ground battles.

DavidDailey (axis) {LOSS] v. ThunderLizard11(allies) [WIN] - Axis resigns Aug' 40. Axis bogged down in France with Paris captured in July but France not surrendering. Probably would surrender in Sept. In China, Axis made little progress. N. Africa holding strong for Italians. Excellent turn returns from DD.

HARRIS45 (allies) defeats Old Shane (axis) with axis resigning in 3/45. Axis pursued a total France strategy that drug on too long and skewed whole game. This was a rematch, and we are one and one. New game to start.

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs Epekepe (Allies) --- Allies went heavy, heavy Air Force in England, doing lots of damage over France 1943. Only problem, Italy made MedSea their private swimming pool. Russia was a toss-up, to lean Germans. Epekepe ghosted, so after 30+ days, that's that.

Pekkavilamoura (Axis) [WIN] vs. HARRIS45 (Allies) [LOSS]

Finally a success against this great player.
Allies resign June '45.
Axis solid in Russia with Stalingrad and Kuibyitschev taken, Baku and Perm rather not, too well defended. Moscow didn't even try.
Japan also OK, lost Manila due to stupid mistake but otherwise good defensive positions.
Overlord in '44 didn't succeed, Allies thrown back to the sea, so that was it, time was running out for Allies.

If you read the recent thread about UK units surrendering in NA you would understand what happened to David. While Italians were trying to dislodge a French army in Tunis, Brits were digging in at Algiers. Armistice signed; France fell; and the Brits surrendered one by one. Quite a few of them. Too much for David. He understandably resigned. Tough lessons. A good player learning from the bruises.

I am looking forward to playing an ELO WaW game as my introduction to WaW. I have played plenty of WiE but not this one. Anyway, if you would like a game, I guess it's arranged via PM. Only house rule I like to play is no diplo of majors, otherwise all is OK.

ThunderLizard11(allies) [WIN] v. DavidDailey(axis) [LOSS] - Axis resigned March '41. Tough time for Germans in France. March '41 and France still holding out even though Paris surrendered. Germans moved all their tac and med bombers to Sicily which was part of reason for slower progess in France. No progress for Japan in China. Good turn returns from DD.

ThunderLizard11(allies) [WIN] v. SwampYankee68(axis) [LOSS] - Axis resigned April '42. Axis struggled with Poland and France which still hadn't surrendered as Axis must not have selected Vichy option. Russians about ready to roll into Berlin and China invading Japan.

ThunderLizard11(allies) [WIN] v. Arikogut (axis) [LOSS] -Axis resigned March '43. Japan had a tough go and was being pushed out of China and never took DEI so low MPPs. Russians flooding into Manchuria. Germans stuck in Russia with all major cities in Russian control. Allies flipped Greece and moving up from south with landings in Sicily and France. Excellent turn returns from Arikogut who is a solid player.

aquavita (Axis) [LOSS] vs. Pekkavilamoura (Allies) [WIN]

Allies decisive victory March '44 as Tokyo falls.
Axis were pushing in Russia but left Western Europe unguarded so Allies landed in '43 and rolled through France and the lowlands to Berlin. Good game, good turn returns by aquavita.
