Vitamin D, C, and the mineral zinc should help. Not to mention chicken soup with lots of onion and garlic.Apollo11 wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 8:49 am Hi all,

Alcohol is, unfortunately, not recommended with paracetamol for downing the fever... but tea and vitamins are good...RangerJoe wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 1:46 pmVitamin D, C, and the mineral zinc should help. Not to mention chicken soup with lots of onion and garlic.
Of course, a cup of dark red wine heated up with some lemon juice in it helps when you start getting sick although it does not taste the best.
Yes, a lot of things are not good with paracetamol unless it is an narcotic! In the United States, paracetamol is called acetaminophen and a common brand name is Tylenol. Unfortunately, it is mixed in with other over the counter type medicines and it is easy to get too much.Apollo11 wrote: Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:32 am Hi all,

Yes, tea is good when a person is ill. I like it with honey and lemon then.
Take it easy, when you are fighting an infection, your body is using as much energy doing that as if you were doing heavy physical labor or exercise. I pretty much gave up exercising a long time ago but I might have to start up again.
That sounds delicious!Apollo11 wrote: Thu Jan 12, 2023 8:54 am Hi all,

I prefer the non-plum schnaps (rakija) - i.e. not the Slivovitz - the herb variety one.RangerJoe wrote: Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:03 amThat sounds delicious!Apollo11 wrote: Thu Jan 12, 2023 8:54 amYep!RangerJoe wrote: Wed Jan 11, 2023 1:42 pm

Do you also make mead out of the honey? Slivovtz out of plums?
I just found Apfelkorn near me! That was so good before although it can hit someone hard if they think it is just wine. Give someone two very cold bottles of it and then they would get off a chair but immediately decide to fall down and sleep.![]()
