Hi all,
Been while not much to talk about since October on beating cancer, that was good. Winters are long here just finished a blizzard, typical for March. Had a nice melt going. Now spring is put back until late April.
Some great new solitaire games out to bide my time. New solitaire release is Revolution Games: Stalingrad is great, fun and winnable. The other solitaire just arrived is Compass Games 'Carrier Battle: Philippine Sea.' An expansion of the old 'Carrier Battles: Southwest Pacific 1942-43' requested for over thirty years and now it is here. Developer John Southard did well. Looking to revamp the old 'Carrier'. Can't wait though the original is great. Maybe less cumbersome rules. Love the tutorials of 1-5 scenarios to introduce game mechanics makes learning easy and enjoyable.

Don't you know that Dairy Queen has better blizzards than Mother Nature? Although there are fewer calories in Mother Nature's blizzards!

I've completed the track work on the lowest loop of my helix and it's going well. Just as I was adding the second loop of plywood, I realized I needed to raise the first loop up at it's end to install the track that will be the entrance to the helix from the lower level. The adjustable nature of the construction, with the nuts on the long threaded rods, made raising up the last couple of feet easy to do. Once the entrance track is in place and the lowest loop is back in place I'll post a picture.

Oh, and as if I don't have too many things going on already, I bought a decent electronic drum set and am going to learn to play the drums at age 55.

Twice the energy over the past two years. Looking to get back into deer hunting. The young'uns need to step up and do the pushing though the marsh and willows. Godless work but at 64 I am done. I earned the right to post. And with open sights on my rifle a deadly shot. My best 400+ yards. A poke and hope but I dropped that buck. An World War II rifle. Been my main firearm since I was sixteen. Have one with a scope. Dropped a deer first shot. Did not like it too restrictive. I like the open sights. If more than one target easier to adjust. Bolt action, but I adapt to the range of fire easily. If I miss on the first, second shot is dead on kill. Trick: always watch for fall of shot make correction deer down.
