Could you elaborate why this is so bad? Thank you.

For a few years now, the transfer deadline day has been one long day of frantic deal-doing, reporters outside every training ground, interviews with Harry Redknapp leaning out of his car window - and best of all - Jim White (complete with de rigeur yellow tie) going bananas with excitement.
Today there have been about 3/4 deals involving premier league clubs.... [>:]

I would have thought that there being no last minute affairs was a good thing. That the clubs were happy with how their squads look like. Not spending more money that they can't afford and so on.

Could you give us a hint, please. [:)]
Edit: I see that no hint is needed since it already has begun.

It's not about the clubs - its the whole circus that goes with it - it's actually riveting T.V - in year's past you have never known what is coming next (like Tottenham getting VdV) .... of course to be riveting it needs something to be happening...

Yes, I understand.
All I am saying is that I am happy if the team that I support do not make any last second deals. I might become happy if they surprise me with a awesome deal in the last minute but in my experience the deals made just before the deadline are most often rubbish and the money spent would most likely have been better spent on the current youth squad instead.

Because Ormster old chap, not only did we beat Arsenal (a rare event) courtesy of two goals by Sir Harry of Kane, we actually played really well!

Now that you are happy about the Spurs, for once I want to ask you if you recognize this quote?
That's a load of Tottenham, that is. Yeah, a steaming pile of Hotspur.
Do you know where it is from?

Well that's not very nice is it boys and girls? [:)]
No, I've never heard that before so have no idea where its from I'm afraid.

It is from the TV-series
Red Dwarf. And you should not be to upset about it since you often joke, and make fun, about those you like.

Sadly I believe that Tottenham's progress in the Europa League is about to come to an end against Fiorentina...
..just seen the team sheet. The names designed to strike fear into any Spurs fan are present in the starting line up.... Fazio, Paulinho, Soldado. Oh well, there's always next year (if we qualify).
Tottenham Hotspur
Vs
Fiorentina

English football sure do look a lot like some sort of wrestling to me.

Naively played by Arsenal. Maybe they need a manager like Mourinho?
