There was 1 saved oil in the city.

Doh. I've just realised I could have converted that oil to a BP by sending it to the factory in Krasnodar.

And yet again I discover a Transport has failed to load it's cargo properly. There should be 2 Trans and 2 Ftr at Casablanca but only 1 Ftr has made it. How many times have you got to double and triple check every transport move to make sure it's worked properly. Every I forget, I find the game has screwed it up [:@][:@][:@].

Although in this case, I'm certain the Ftr unit was showing as picked up and moving and not left behind, yet I still find it has been [&:][&:][&:].

This is really starting to get to be more than just irritating

N/D 41 Allied 5

No DoW

CW & US Naval. China & USSR Land. France Pass.

CW sends 6 CP's to Biscay.

CV and CL move from San Diego to Mendochino. Do the Jap subs wish to intervene?

Edit: Wrong picture

No thx.

If Japs have only one disorganized ship in sea area you can ask only about CP, Trans and other juicy targets.

Edit: is the picture from previous impulse?

The little task force continues to Hawaiian Is 3-box to join its comrades.

Queens leave Clarion for San Francisco. A CP sails into Clarion. I decline to intercept as it's fairly obvious it needs to stay there. The lonely CP is joined by a couple of battlewagons from San Diego.

CP and CL to Polynesia. Want a go this time?

Edit: Had to redo this, so only moved the single CP and CL to Polynesia, not 2.

If I have two disorganized units, then yes please using unit in lower box. If I have only one disorganized unit, no thanks.

I'll take it you meant organised units and as there are 2, go for the intercept.

It fails on an 8. The CL and CP stay put in Polynesia 0-box.

4 CA move from Norfolk to Clarion 1-box.

The 2 Trans and 1 of the Amph in Biscay move into St Vincent. Following Mayhemizer's instruction regarding "juicy targets". I try the intercept using German sub in 2-box.

That truly is juicy enough target...

On a 1, the intercept succeeds. No air is committed and the Allies decline subs.

The Allies also roll a 1 on their search.

They choose Naval Air and an Italian sub is sent back to port.

Almost good job from Axis [:(] let's say "nice try".

Sub goes to Bordeaux, thank you.

It isn't over yet. The game asks whether to fight or abort. I guess both sides stay.

Searches of Axis 5 and Allies 10 finish this skirmish.

The ships continue to West Med where I guess the Axis will have another bash.

Yes please, disorganize Italian NAV.

Italian fighter is disorganised and on another 1, the intercept succeeds.

Ships stay in 0-box.

Nav in Genoa can get to 2-box (I missed that. Didn't think there were any more Nav's available other than the 1 there), Ftr in Florfence to 0-box. Any fliers?

The Allied search is a 9.

I then find that the other ships and air cover in the 0-box aren't available for the combat. Had I known that would be the case, I wouldn't have risked this second intercept. My preference will be to redo this and move them to my alternative. Mayhemizer, okay with you?

OK.

Edit: How about first intercept? I you would have rolled 9 there, my subs would had a feast. I'm not an expert in naval rules, but I guess only moving ships are in combat if other ships in sea area can't find. So they should be escorted.

I guess you are right about the moving ships in combat only, if others don't spot.

Good point about the first intercept. As the move to St. Vincent was based upon the assumption air cover in the 0-box would be available, then this too should be cancelled.

The Trans and Amph in Biscay return to various UK ports.

CW sends 2 Trans from Middle East to Mozambique Channel where they pick up Cape Town Mil and a SA Hurricane. Sub goes from St Vincent to Malta.

A number of sea zones available for combat although some will be declined.

West Med: Declined
Cape St Vincent: Declined
Bay of Bengal: Declined
Cape Naturaliste: Declined
East Indian Ocean: CW CA initiates. Searches Allied 10, Axis 2. Woeful Allied search rolls continue. Stand by for two dinged up cruisers. How do the Axis want to spend their surprise points?
