neverquits99 (Allies) vs petedalby (Axis).
Game ends with Allied Decisive Victory in March 1947 when Berlin fell. I would have conceded earlier but my opponent was keen to go the very end.
It was all going quite well until I made a serious error with Japan which ultimately cost me the game. Great play from neverquits99, good comms & excellent turn rate.

New ELO game begins:
HARRIS45 (Axis) vs petedalby (Allies).
Game ended. Axis Resigned in December 1941.
A great opening from HARRIS45. US & USSR mobilisation both well managed. Lend lease didn't start until Jan '41. Axis advances slowed and lost focus in Russia, China & NA with mounting losses.
Regular turns and great comms. Thanks for the game.

..thx pete
Game ends in August 1942 - opponent not played a turn for 5 weeks
Allies (win)
Actually a brilliantly entertaining game
Japan smashed through China including Lanchow
and sensing weakness with Indian troops in Africa made a play for India capturing Kohima and the East.
Felt that Slim would hold them around Calcutta though
Barbarossa held in check with Army Groups Centre and South taking losses.
The real fun was in Africa were Italian Infantry + Rommel + Panzers attacked Egypt.
Cairo and Alexandria swung back and forth with the Luftwaffe and Royal Navy fully committing to the battle.
Ultimately the Afrika Corps were routed.
Germany then invaded Turkey to try and break the stalemate but lost several Panzers and were held in the West.
Outcome was clear at this point
Note: I'll try and do an update when time allows - got a lot on atm

Game ended HarrySmith (Allies) lost Vs Fafnir (Axis)
Game ended Nov 43 with the fall of Russia. China was taken early, India on verge. ME fell in 41 and horn. RN decimated and Ireland taken by Japanese. Japanese were busy capturing Lots of places so even though in the Pacific most of their Islands were taken their morale hardly dropped. Japanese carrier fleet attacking RN in Atlantic. US had fairly free rein in Pacific but Islands close to Japan and mainland well defended. France fell March 40 or around then and things just got worse. Definitely in a different class of player to myself but interesting to see how well they play.

The Japanese were all over the Pacific like ants on a picnic but the Soviets and Allies were closing in on the Reich fast. Axis decided to call it a day in 1945.

sounds like a great game. Hope that you or Fafnir might have some screenshots or want to write a more extensive AAR on it. Would be fun to see how these things you mention came about.

hmm interesting choice to surrender. The victory conditions would to me mean that axis will win a tactical victory here. Japan reigning supreme in the Pacific in 45 while Germany is still alive means it's going to be hard to get Tokyo before game ends.

[ELO ended]
ThunderLizard11 (axis) [WIN] v. Wirkey (allies) [LOSS] - Axis victory in 1947. Game was played all the way to the end even though Russia collapsed in '44 and Germany took England/Spain/Portugal/India/etc. Japan was defeated in '45 but made little difference to outcome. Wirkey had good turn return early but slowed down to 1-2/week as game dragged on.
[ELO started]
rematch - ThunderLizard11 (axis) v. Wirkey (allies)
