I've been noticing that nobody seems to be reading the previous posts. All we get is good morning, afternoon and evening.. So discuss what you think my grandson brought over. This is an attempt to bring some life to The Thread....GP

I have been waiting for a download to become available.

My lift chair broke Sunday and it is stuck in the reclining position which makes it extremely hard to get out of. So I put my computer on a regular table and the cats just love to walk on the keyboard! Also, they can't lay near my legs so they are demanding more attention as well. If I get off of the computer chair, one or the other cat will promply lat on the seat.

I injured my lower back last Thursday, I turned too fast and strained/pull/tore muscles plus I have bone spurs there so any twisting of the torso can lead to damage. But with naproxen (which I should not take) plus a muscle relaxant at night, things are better. If I really want to, I could take something else and with the muscle relaxant but then I would sleep for over 12 hours at night!

But we are going to be hotter than Hell.No today so that is a good thing.

A female cat is knocking things off the table right now because she is trying to open a 860 gram / 30 ounce container of dry treats.

Send a personal note to the boss, JW, and see if he will send it to you.

As far as your back goes, I feel your pain. The gout I had in my foot a few weeks ago is coming back.. The pain med they gave me for that gave me severe hallucinations.

Go open the treats....GP

I had dental surgery for an implant and the Dental Surgeon prescribed some Codeine type pain killers. I took one that day when the freezing was wearing off and it made me feel dizzy and unfocused, so I never took the rest. It wasn't all that bad because I could eat cool soft stuff and lukewarm soup to avoid chewing.
Some time later I also got a case of gout that made me hobble around. The Doc prescribed some more strong pain killers but I didn't take them either. Just drank lots of water and avoided all rich foods and salt. In a couple of days the gout faded off. I know that may not work for you, but if I know better than the doctors what my system will tolerate I guess I don't feel bound by their prescriptions.

Good morning folks.

For pain every once in a while I'll take Motrin or Excedrin and it works fine.

Some folks have allergic reactions, I had that when they gave me some meds for pain and it made me feel like something was crawling under my skin, drove me nuts, almost grabbed a screwdriver to stopped the things from crawling under my skin but mental I knew that stabbing myself would not ease either the pain or those things under my skin, never took those things again! I also can't take Benadryl, that stuff keeps me up for a week with no sleep!

The last time I took Ibuprofin (Motrin) I had severe gastric distress. Actually, I am not supposed to take any NSAIDs nor aspirin due to blood pressure issues. Tramadol makes me physically ill and acetominiphen can cause sharp stabbing pain in my guts. Celebrex causes ear and sinus issues. So unless I can get some good prescription stuff, I take one over the counter naproxen for a few days and then quit.

Of course, Sweet Pea was asking for treats again so I had to pause typing this to get her some. I tell her to wait a few moments but she does not because she is both a female and a cat so I really need to wait on her since I am her manservant! She really and truely is a whining gold digger, she whines if she does not get her way. Which irritates me.

Oh well, I guess that I should just shoot myself now since I didn't do so last night.

Actually, I like codeine because it is not too strong for my. Oxycodone I do not want. But for gout attacks, there is medicine like allopurinol that you can take to reduce the chance of getting it but if you do get it, then try tart cherry juice or even pie! :) There are certain foods to avoid as well, I seldom have very bad attacks anymore.
