GRUMP!
I think that I am suffering from dysania! In fact, I probably have been suffering from this affliction for most of my life - except on fishing days!

Grump!
I missed posting here yesterday!
DOUBLE GRUMP!!
Even worse, it was very humid and warm earlier when I decided that I absolutely had to mop a dried spill from the kitchen floor. Of course that increased the humidity even more!
Grump!
But think of these parrots were fired from their job of talking to visitors and then evicted!

GRUMP!
I am trying to organize things but I have two inspectors checking things out all of the time. One complained when I was walking and he ran in front of me to stop so I put my foot on his back and started to put that foot to the floor. No injuries but a verbal complaint and a quick dash forward.
GRUMP!

This morning, I climbed up into the attic to search for the water leak in the roof that is causing minor damage. This required putting a ladder into a closet, opening up a hatch, and hoisting myself up into the attic. It’s a tight squeeze, but it is doable.
You can only move around in the attic on hands and knees along narrow boards as it is not a real attic but merely a small space between the ceiling and the roof. I, being a geezer, slowly make my way some distance from the opening until I find the source of the leak.
Just as I find the source of the leak, I hear a loud meow.
I look toward the hatch, and cat #2 is peaking into the attic. He climbed up the six-foot ladder, stretched up on his hind legs, and was now planning on joining me in the attic.
Unfortunately, the attic is filled with fiberglass insulation, open at the top. If cat #2 got into the attic, he would likely get fiberglass fibers in his ample fur and have his respiratory problems worsened. Not good.
So, I quickly crawled to the hatch to snatch cat #2 before he jumped up. My knees report great sadness due to the quick movement to put the kabosh on cat #2’s plans. But, success, I get to cat #2 before he can implement his ill-considered plan.
But now cat #2 can’t get down the ladder on his own. He is blocking my way down, and the tight space thru the hatch leaves me little room to get down the ladder with the largish cat on the top. He won’t move as he seems too scared once he realizes he’s stuck at the top.
If I pushed him off the ladder, he would survive a 6-foot drop without too much harm, but I don’t think that is a good idea. It’s a bit too far.
To make a long story short, I eventually got him to agree to step down to the shelf at the top of the ladder. He’s not too happy to step down, but once he moves, I’m able to get down the ladder and carry the cat down with me.
Moral of the story: cats are sure lucky they are cute because otherwise….

I leak as well - especially after drinking beer!
But it does help push out kidney stones.

Yes definitely GRUMP. But having identified the likely source of the leak, I now need to go up on the roof to slather on sealant around the suspect roof vent. Luckily (sic), it rarely rains here so I might not know for months whether I found the source of the leak. So, it makes no sense to repair the ceiling for a long time until I know for sure I got the leak.
But, GRUMP, I have lots of other things to repair around the house so I can keep busy until then. Oh, joy.

Actually, there is a way to test it without waiting for it to rain. Get a few friends and some kegs of beer. No going downstairs to tap the kidneys! You should find out if the repairs worked!

MANY GRUMPS!
Now that I'm older, here's what I've discovered:
1. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.
2. My wild oats are mostly enjoyed with prunes and all-bran.
4. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
5. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
6. If all is not lost, then where the heck is it?
7. It was a whole lot easier to get older than it was to get wiser.
8. Some days, you're the top dog, some days you're the hydrant.
9. I wish the buck really did stop here, I sure could use a few of them.
10. Kids in the back seat cause accidents.
11. Accidents in the back seat cause kids.
12. It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.
13. The world only beats a path to your door when you're in the bathroom.
14. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he'd have put them on my knees.
15. When I'm finally holding all the right cards, everyone wants to play chess.
16. It's not hard to meet expenses . . . They're everywhere.
17. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
18. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter .. . . I go somewhere to get something, and then wonder what I'm "here after".
19. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
20. It is a lot better to be seen than viewed.

I have had kidney stones. The first one hurt. Then I learned and I passed a 9mm one with very little discomfort. The last one, a 4mm one, I passed with no discomfort just a little back pressure when that beer was pushing it out!
