So much for the British! I think everything is practically sunk...don't have the turn...but there was a lot of air strikes...one large air strike, a secondary am strike with many waves with seemingly as large a number of bombers, and then this lone air strike in the afternoon.

Very bad play on my part, out there without nearly enough naval search.

Losing the intelligence war is never good. Not enough recon planes in use or insufficient naval search can come up and bite hard.

Recent bought "Bodyguard of Lies" on Amazon for less than $25. This book is about 800 pages long and I got it in mid-70s when lots of information about WW2 and the D-Day invasion became declassified. Some how, I lost it. [:(] The battle for information, keeping it from the Germans, and the amount of deception involved for years to ensure the invasion was successful is huge. It has been decades since I read this book and forgot how much took place from '42 through '44. Ultra was very important, but there was a lot more going on besides reading the German's mail.

Don't beat yourself up about it, you can't always know where the KB is, especially early game

And you had to react to a possible invasion of the Indian Ocean Islands

Course, now this is done, he's got a free hand for at least a few months in that part of the map, and if he's got bigger plans in mind that taking Calcutta then he's just got a significant boost.

And if you know where his carriers are, then yours can come out and play and make him pay.

Sadly if the combat replay is inaccurate, then a view on the action report will invariably be a lot worse outcome for the allies.

I'm getting a lot of variables in my combat replays as well, and its super annoying.

This unit in China took the last attack hard, and has to pull out and recover. It was the only unit with a sub par leader, land somewhere around 35, all the other dedicated artillery has 1 or less disruptions. Just changed leaders, which are getting damn scarce in China. Gonna have to switch some leaders from the east to the west...

A lot of the last fights artillery disruptions are the c80mm mortar tubes...

So, I am thinking of not watching the replay, and rather piece the turn together from other reports. It will change the AAR for sure, as I really like giving multiple posts as the turn progresses.

A minor setback over there near Diego. If there's any player who writes AARs who can overcome something like that, it's Lowpe.

What does this Indian foray tell you about Oz? Are there any signs of Oz withdrawal? Has he milked about as many strategic bombing points as he can?

Think its still worth watching, as the major errors are still very rare

I dunno if you are getting a copy of his generated combat report, but if you are that tends to be more accurate (not always though)
