Thank you for sharing the titbit about the Swedish farming culture. Although I am not sure that it is correct. It says hundreds of years, and I think the tradition of painting outhouses red is a lot younger than that. With that said, one Swedish dream many has is to own their own house painted with the colour linked in below. A red cottage with white knuts. See picture below.
